the japan golf assoc has posted the 4 qualifiers for the USWO, they played 36 holes with a playoff for the 4th spot.
1.haruka morita(wanlaoyu) -8, 2.rumi yoshiba -7, 3.pei ying tsai(taiwan)-6, 4.fumiko kawagishi -5T. there was a 4 player playoff for the 4th spot, kawagishi defeated ayaka watanabe on the 39th hole. the hori sisters kotone and natsuka, ayaka matsumori and many others missed the cut.
the qualifier took place on monday, except for morita all the above players finished the bridgestone on sunday, i believe the article states that morita passed on the bridgestone to ready for the qualifier.

Too bad Kotone didn't make it; she would've impressed the American spectators like In Gee did in 2015.

Big bummer regarding K. Hori and Ayaka M. Hori was first alternate in 2016 and Ayaka passed the q-test in 2015 & 2016. I'm glad for Rumi Yoshiba(3rd from left)...she showed some good game at Lancaster in 2015...curious to see how long she really is with her new driver/shaft combination from Japan's Crazy Golf. ********** Today's Arizona qualifier doesn't have final scores for everyone yet, but Kyung Kim(70-70-140, -2) is a lock to make it.

The results from Monday's Arizona qualifier haven't been posted yet, but I assume Kyung Kim was still low medalist.

The Minnesota qualifier on May 31 is stuffed with amateurs...only one threesome with all professionals: Belen Mozo, Simin Feng, and Katie Detlefsen. Katie was a successful Monday qualifier at the 2016 Shop-Rite, but got destroyed in the tournament...she's a former Big Breaker with the proper "visuals". Two spots are up for grabs, as well as two alternates. Another pro is Sarah Hoffman...I thnk she's the one who quit her nursing job and got an invite to last year's LPGA Volvik. www.mngolf.org/Res/2017%20Starting%20Times.pdf

Only 9 pros in a field of 82 will play in Daly City, CA on June 5. I'm guessing two spots are up for grabs and I hope luscious Grace Na gets one of them. She's from the Bay Area, so I hope it gives her an advantage. Andrea Lee is probably the best amateur here. www.golfgenius.com/pages/951459

Very appropriate that we have alternative grammar and an alternative fact in the article...
