The field of 108 has been set...they play for real March 2-5. The field includes 50 exempt regulars, 35 q-school grads (no Sharon), and 18 sponsor invites (including both Miyazatos, O. Sattaya, Kotono Kozuma, and Ayako Uehara). Nasa Hataoka will be there, as well as Yuri Fudoh (30-win career exemption).

They start them young in Japan; the teacher pictured here is Mayumi Nagase, 18X winner on the JLPGA and onetime winner on the LPGA, she won over Laura Davies in a playoff in 1996. www.lpga.or.jp/news/info/20629

Phil...can you really recognize by name all the above pros?...I'd only be able to identify five of them.

I recognized most of them and cheated with Google Translator on the ones I wasn't sure about. ******* Rumi Yoshiba still has Nike attire, but dumped their driver in favor of an obscure Japanese brand, the Crazy FX BM435. Crazy Golf also made the shaft, the Regenesis Royal Decoration 'X' flex...extremely lightweight, the 'X' is only 50 grams and the raw shaft is 47". She says she wants to drive the ball 270 this year...good player, I saw her at Lancaster, but that would make her longer than Ayaka Watanabe...you'll have to show me that.

The gals born in 1988 were called the Dragon Ladies because they were born in the Year of the Dragon. Interesting what a good year it was for Korean lady golfers: Inbee Park was also born that year.
