OK...that was a pretty pathetic playoff....including their 72nd holes....Mel and Sandra were 0 for 8 birdie'ing the 18th hole.....no wonder Mel and Sandra are not part of the elite in women's golf....I like Sandra and Mel...but come on ladies. If the Euros play like this in Des Moines....the Yanks will win it all by Saturday.
And Mel winning with a par on a par 5 to win the playoff...WTF.....if this doesn't demonstrate the men's superiority in the short game..I don't know what would.
For the REAL golf fans....I assume you watched Spieth put on a short game clinic at Pebble today...the guy was a putting machine....especially on those bumpy poa anna greens....the balls were bouncing so much on long putts.
IGC and CBS are idiots to give Bill Murray any air time...he's a MAJOR dbag.

Round 4 replay starting at the 16th hole...great line at 8:35, "and really throwing the cat among the pigeons." BTW, who is "Hey Jin Hoy?" Lastly, I think Gal has more "smoke" than Mozo. Melissa Reid is throwing her hat into the ROY ring; she can't no longer be overlooked. She will probably become the oldest rookie of the year if she wins. Huh...the double whammy reverse karma.....good one...let's see how it pans out. Mel is a good player and a decent person; why would anybody incur a reverse karma on her? She's on my list of ROY contenders; along with Sung Hyun, Nasa and Nelly.

Imagine what Trump would have said to Malcolm Turnbull if he'd watched four hours of that tv coverage first.

Are you guys crazy. Belen is a SMOKESHOW....best bod on tour....no one is even close.....has huge sex appeal like the LOVELY HYP and GIMMEE. I use to think Sandra was a butterface.....at the 2013 Safeway.... bravedave convinced me to go watch Sandra.....then I became a fanboy and like her now....but she pales in comparison to Belen. So what do you guys think of Aza or Recari?

The Spanish threesome all have some attractive features (Bea is the best one), but Sandra doesn't have any discernible negatives, IMHO. I will say no more on this topic to avoid sounding like Mr. Orange in one of his locker rooms.

Mel Reid dropped 5 spots in the RR after winning !
Nevermind, the ranking haven't been updated yet.

Great week for Hye Jin Choi and Eun Jeong Seong! A pity that Choi ran out of steam on the final day, because based on what little I saw, it's not like the leaders were playing lights out golf by any means. Ah well, should be fun to see what she pulls off at the Aussie Open! A great third place for Su Oh as well.
I would have far preferred Gal winning over Reid. I followed Reid for two days off and on at KPMG (she was paired with In Gee and Ha Na Jang), and the scowl didn't leave her face the entire time, even when she was doing something nice for a kid outside the ropes. I'm sure she's perfectly fine, but it left me with a somewhat negative view of her.

So, you admit that Gal and Reid are not among the best women in the short game department... then use their weakness as proof that all pro women are worse than the elite men? Don't you see a logical disconnect there?

Don't you see a logical disconnect there? Happy....ya gotta stop being a POSER and become a REAL golfer fan and start watching the men's tours....including the senators who still have game on the Champions tour. You'll then witness that the guys as a whole have better short games and scrambling skills. Let's not forget about the 2016 Marathon, which included RR #1 & 2 and Mirim is no slouch....if you include the 72nd hole....it took Lydia, Ariya and Mirim 15 attempts on a par 5 18th hole for Lydia to finally make a birdie to win. That's pretty lame for pros with plus handicaps to take 15 attempts on the same hole with a rather benign approach to a pin..... for someone to finally make birdie. If you watched the PGA tour...which you rarely do...you'd notice their set-ups have more severe tucked pins and their greens are running faster than LPGA course set-ups which makes their scrambling more difficult. Unless someone is completely naive.....try to show me anyone who would pick 4 random LPGA pros to win over 4 random PGA pros in a scrambling contest over 5 holes...it would be like finding a unicorn.

I'm sure she's perfectly fine, but it left me with a somewhat negative view of her. I also was watching Dumbo, The Hulk and Mel on and off too....I can't believe you weren't able to pick out the Smiling Buddha from the gallery...oh wait....you're a white guy...so you thought he was just one of the Flying Dumbos...we all look the same. I too was rooting for Sandra....I would have rather seen CYBORG (HJC) win or Belen or Su Oh. Mel is pretty intense inside the ropes...it's how a pro behaves outside the ropes that is key to reading their character. Mel plays fast....maybe too fast....I think she should have taken more time to read her approaches/3rd shots/putts in regulation and the playoff...then she likely would have birdied earlier. When I'm at an event....I normally don't pay too much attention on pace of play....cause I might be looking at play simultaneously on 3 surrounding holes. But I think Dumbo might be a tad slow.....I noticed she backed off 2 shots with no real reason....I think she is very sensitive to noise....it was IMO ......quiet when she backed off.....no wonder her nickname is Dumbo. I think Mel might have been a bit agitated with the pace of play. So it seems like all the English gals are speed demons...Charley and Dame Laura are also fast players....I think Jodi might be fast too....I don't know....I like her..but have yet to fanboy her for a few holes.
