you'll see pics of Dumbo with Jinro-Hite logo's in 2013....let's face it...we have no idea of the specific start and end dates of any pros endorsements. www.hankookilbo.com/v/faf5b2186af3eb996b83abd883c7fa9dYou're such a pest, it doesn't matter how many times you have been proven wrong. This is the last time I respond to you. I rarely read those Korean reports because the translation is a bunch of gibberish.

mr3putt According to this article, In Gee's second contract with Hite Jinro signed on January 2015 was for 5 years. www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/biz/2015/07/123_182665.htmlChun, the seventh Korean national to win the U.S. national championship, renewed her sponsorship contract with Hite Jinro in January for another five years. The key to Dumbo acquiring major endorsements is getting onto the IMG Death Star. Let's see if the Good Doctor is smart enough to guide her in the right direction...so far he's been a failure not able to incarcerate her in his golf factory and allowing her to goof around with her friends. Heck...even GOAT #2 wouldn't go out to dinner with your droolboy, Rory.

Thanks for finding the details. I wonder if she is trying to renegotiate/get out of her deal? Sometimes these deals are really for three years plus option for two more, so perhaps she is trying to end it early to get a better return? It's hard to believe Hite would get rid of her when she's been such a bonanza, unless they are tired of paying her bonuses for all the things she is achieving...

Being a large company, Hite Jinro will honor the contract. In Gee will be paid either way. No reason to renegotiate, Hite Jinro can afford only so much. Also, no reason for In Gee to dump Hite Jinro unless there is a bigger fish waiting.

The Koreans are bored with LUGGAGEGATE....so they decided to start new rumors....as a Korean golfer friend told me...the Koreans like to gossip.....if these rumors are true...I say Jinro/Hite wants out early...Dumbo doesn't seem like a gal too greedy or one to disrespect a sponsor to bail.
Or maybe the DARK SIDE has got a hold of Dumbo and wants her to wear more than Swooshes on her shoes....at least that is what my tinfoil hat theory says.

If Hite wants to keep Dumbo after her contract expires they will re-negotiate the whole deal now for longer-term.

My bet is that there are bigger fishes biting and In Gee camp is indecisive at this point. A telltale sign is whether In Gee wears Hite Jinro at Honda Thailand.

She would have to have a provision to buy out of the contract I guess.

You'd think if it would be worth so much to another company it's worth a lot to Hite, too. Just seems weird for a golfer to switch sponsors in the middle of a contract because they got too famous. This is exactly what Hite wanted. Only reason to get out would be that they don't want a US/LPGA presence for some reason.

In one of articles posted earlier, Hite Jinro stated that they're a domestic Korean company and they sponsor domestic players. In another article, Hite Jinro estimated that In Gee's 2015 USWO's win generated more than US$ 90.0 million worth of worldwide free advertisement for the company. Hite Jinro has international presence, but the lion share of their business is in Korea. Hite Jinro is big but not a gargantuan company; its revenue is about US$ 2.4 billion a year and it's its limitations. Sometimes, you're out of your league as far as a bidding war is concerned. It's interesting and we'll find out more later. The only thing I'm certain is that In Gee won't be hurt in this process.

It's a no brainer when Phil Knight is waving some greenbacks in front of Dumbo to venture into The Dark Side and walk onto the Death Star.

Apart from some of you who live in LA and NYC....I bet no one here has seen Hite beer in your beer retailers....only at your local Korean restaurants....and how many here visit Korean restaurants per month?....exactly....that's what I thought so. There are over 50,000 Koreans here in Van City.....I've yet to see Hite in any of our retailers...yet you'll see beers from the Czech Rep, many European countries, India, Thailand, Japan, China, Mexico, Jamaica, etc. Though I do think one can buy soju in our liquor stores....I'll have to look next time.

In Gee and her squad better focus on golf not money. If she doesn't start strong, Happy Fan will be forced to remove her picture from the splash page. Potential replacements include Lydia, Michelle, Minjee or one of the other deplorables.
