Hmmmm...let's see if Whan takes out his racist pen in July and denies JUNIOR and CYBORG admission into Q school. Both should turn pro...they play enough global golf. I bet the KLPGA gigi's are greasing both so they join the minor league.

I predict both will be on the KLPGA in 2018. I hope so. Both should not be in a hurry to join the LPGA. Stay close to home and get the professional experience first. The LPGA very tough with the skill level of the present players. Not to mention the travel and trying to learn a new language and way of life.

CYBORG & JUNIOR are already travelling the world and playing in top level events and playing well in those events. And if they go to the KLPGA....don't they have to play for 2 yrs minimum? Besides....we need more Koreans to clobber the Yanks.

The 2017 Neighbors Trophy Team Championship (Korea vs. Japan vs. Taiwan, four men & four women amateurs per team) was played last month at Sunrise Golf & CC in Taiwan. Surprise surprise, Korea did not win on the ladies side. The three best scores from each team were combined for each of the three days. Final scores: Japan 214-213-231-658 Korea 214-215-232-661 Taiwan 218-221-238-677 They can't blame Choi since she was low medalist of the tournament (71-68-74-213, -3), five shots better than the next player. FYI, the men's teams finished in the same order. Team Korea...Cyborg 4th from left. Round One Round Two After Round Three...must be the low medalist trophy.

Recent interview: sports.news.naver.com/golf/news/read.nhn?oid=435&aid=0000001508Translated excerpt: Choi Hye-jin was a "Taekwon Girl" until he encountered golf. Even when he started playing golf, he went with Taekwondo chief. I was so into Taekwondo. In fact, it was not only Taekwondo but also all kinds of sports people. Choi Hye-jin says.
"My father told me that it would be a good idea to quit Taekwondo if I wanted to focus on golf. I guess I was upset that I could not do more Taekwondo at that time. I really cried a lot."

news.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2017/07/05/2017070503635.htmlThe translated article above says Choi swings her driver with weight donuts attached for an hour every day...that's 300 swings...or once every 12 seconds. It says her drive distance is 260-270 yards and has a swing speed of 161k/hour (about 100 MPH). It also has this quote: "Last year, when the fairway was narrow, I was sobered, but I did not have the distance and the direction was bad." This year, I was not afraid to hit it hard, and the direction was better. The video highlights from her recent KLPGA win don't show her hitting the par-4 5th hole on the fly with her driver (the tee was moved up to 263m/288 yards), although I think it was playing downhill...and she made the eagle putt. She'll get on a plane Saturday for the USWO. Let's see if she gets a big media send-off at the airport.

I'm glad to hear CYBORG is working on club head speed...I was wondering if distance would be an issue for her. Go CYBORG....come to the LPGA and dismantle the Yanks....JUNIOR please come too.

I thought that was why she were waiting to turn pro. To play in the USWA.
Does she qualify for the Women British open as an Amateur?

She gave a long interview upon returning to Korea after the USWO...said she will turn pro in September. Also, she will not play anymore as an amateur, which is too bad...she could have gotten revenge on Junior at the US Girls Junior and USWA (Junior is skipping both of those, too). I guess CYBORG & JUNIOR have decided not to play the Girls Jr. and USWA to go on joint sales calls with Tina in order to secure some sponsorships...it's too bad Dumbo is too stupid to join the 3some on these sales calls.
