I assume Kia will give her an invite?.....what about Junior?
I don't know about Kia, but US Am is at San Diego CC. Maybe Muni or Haley M. can make some noise as well.
Right...I forgot about the Am....I assume all the grounds crew are illegal Mexicans working under the table so all the WASP members have more money to spend on gin & tonics at the 19th hole?
Hye Jin Choi is No. 6 on World's Women Amateur ranking. www.wagr.com/
Even as a big fan of Choi, I must admit it's a bit ridiculous when Junior wins the 2016 USGJ and USWA and is ranked lower at #11. WAGR is an interesting mathematical exercise, but little more. Numbers are no substitute for watching a player in person. I highly recommend keeping tabs on the USGA, AJGA, and college schedules so you'll have a chance to see how good the amateurs really are.
Heads-up to anyone in Central Florida, Feb. 17-20: They'll be playing the Mannika (AJGA) and Choi, Junior, & Lucy Li are on the invitation list.
While looking up the Oates Vic Open, I discovered that Choi won the Australian Women's Amateur Championship last month.
First, they had two days of medal play qualifying...the top-32 made it to match play...Choi was 1st (68-68-136, -10) and EJ Seong was 2nd (69-69-138, -8). Koreans took 7 of the top-13 spots.
Choi defeated So Min Lee in the 36-hole Final, 4 & 2. Earlier, Lee knocked off Junior in the semi-finals, 3 & 2.
HJC needs a nickname...I say it's COCKY......anyone one else got a nickname? She plays a lot of events...her WAGR divisor is twice as much as her competitors. Tina must have shown her parents how to rape and pillage the S. Korean Golf Federation.
What's with all the man buns in OZ....I though the guys in Oz were manly.

I'm positive you proposed the nickname CYBORG several weeks ago. It's starting to grow on me...I like it and it's complimentary, since that would make her half-human...while TERMINATOR and JUNIOR (terminator) are all machine. But, I'm still open to other suggestions at this early stage.
Regarding the ANNIKA Invitational junior event in February, Hye Jin Choi and Eun Jeong Seong skipped it.
However, Choi is in the field of 39 players for the ANA Junior Inspiration at Mission Hills CC...they play 36 holes (Pet Dye course) on March 25 and 18 holes (Dinah Shore course) on March 26. The winner gets into the LPGA's ANA Inspiration, and Choi looks like the heavy favorite, now #3 on the WAGR.

Good luck to Hye C and Lucy Li. I know from the Korean perspective, the ANA is slightly less prestigious than the US Open, but is far ahead of the other so-called majors.

Lucy Li and Ting Ting need to visit Mannika's JUICE factory if they'll ever compete on the LPGA.
I wonder if she is going to turn pro now? What is the point of staying an amateur? Even if she is able to beat Haley Moore, Andrea Lee, Hannah 'O and Lucy-- Junior will be waiting for her. She might as well start playing on the Dream Tour now. But, she is probably a rich kid so maybe she doesn't care.
