You Yanks gotta spot complaining...you should try to listen o the nitwit's I'm listening to up here in Canada.....OK...you gotta suffer from mono tone juiced Mannika.......where is the GREAT Tom Abbot.
I find this event boring....maybe because there's no excitement cause the LOVELY HYP is not playing....I wonder what spa she, Jenn Song and NYC are hanging out this week.
This event looks like we are watching the Founders event....wide fairways, boring course, flat, no galleries and mountains in the back drop.

I wonder if 1/2 the field will still be virgins after the games. I'll show myself out. and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Klara Spilkova still has her Czeck flag driver ******** I clicked on the Canadian Princess' name on the live leaderboard at nbcolympics.com, in order to see how she did hole-by-hole. Instead of seeing that, they showed a player profile, which included heights and weights. Weights?! Very poor form by NBC to do that...don't they have women working at NBC? Of course, I couldn't help looking up the S.S. Feng...yikes! Also, I think Winbee's might be a few years out of date. ******** They just showed Ciganda getting ready for her approach at #18. There's a mammoth grandstand to the left of the green and it had about five people there. For you gamblers, don't bet on Ciganda...she's an athletic ball striker, but she almost always falls by the wayside.

The golfers don't look that fat in person.

Aryia doesn't really overpower a course off the tee, considering she's hitting irons and 3 woods.
But she does have a big advantage off the fairway compressing her ball like a PGA player. It would be interesting if the LPGA had real stats like prox to the hole from various yardages.

Isn't NYC part of the Korean tv coverage?

It's impressive coverage to have an 8 1/2 hour time slot to cover twenty threesomes! They said some of these turtles are taking 5.5 hours to complete their rounds.
*****
I was not aware that Los Angeles will get the Summer Olympics again in 2024. If golf is still in the Games by then, what course will get it? What course should get it? I assume a new course will not be commissioned for the Games...unless the IOC is running short on its kickback revenue.
*****
What is the current thinking by golf architects regarding trees? They don't seem popular now. Obviously, this course has none if the plan was to build a (fake) links course. The free magazine handed out at the 2016 USWA has the early history of Rolling Green GC...it says they planted 5,000 trees during the first five years of the course. On the other hand, Oakmont CC removed thousands of trees since the early '90s, as a way of turning back the clock to a "better" era. Has a course been selected for Japan in 2020? From watching the JLPGA, those courses have trees, and lots of them.
Who will own and operate the Rio course after the Games? Through neglect or incompetence, it would be a shame if it reverts to the garbage dump it once was.

It's not going to Buda Pest. Current thinging in architecture is TREES = BAD! No trees on sod farms, as they say. There is a course for Japan. It starts with a K but forget which. It's being remodeled by someone. It has 2 sets of greens for each hole because they used to have a winter and summer grass. Now the grass is hybridized enough so they only need 1 green per hole.

LA is competing with Paris, Rome and Budapest. There will probably be a city referendum that says taxpayers will not foot the cost overruns. That may effect the potential to get the Olympics. The city of LA is a mess.
I have heard the same thing as Don--Griffith Park. It will require a big renovation. Riviera and LACC are ready now but I can't imagine the members would want the Olympics. I will attend the golf, if I am still able to walk.

Per translation, Dumbo is holding up a Doraemon pin. I guess it's pretty clear that she will never grind the heel of her shoe into the opposition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon********** The broadcast has been on for a couple of hours...Gannon, Abbott, Sands, Foltz and Stupples have been on so far...it's an eight-hour broadcast, so I assume they'll have some relief pitchers. Is the regular NBC crew for men's golf still in Rio? I wonder where Dumbo will throw away another gift from a fan...in the trash can at the course or athlete's village? Hey Argonne, you can buy Doraemon head covers in Japan... you won't have to stick your hand up the ass of a stuffed doll to pull out wads of cotton and sew on a sock.

Lyds was last in prox to the hole at like 68 feet.
I must have read that stat wrong. Seems high.
