Alcott and Hanse created a wonderful golf course in a short amount of time. Like any tournament, the player with the lowest score is the best player of the week. No excuses.

Great pictures thanks. IGC has way more problems with luggage than any golfer in history.

Se Ri...shame on you allowing Winbee to play.....WTF...she's 80% which really means she's 60-70% healthy....Ha Na s/b on this team...Se Ri, as captain you make sure Dumbo and Ha Na can somewhat avoid each other to minimize any team conflicts for one week.
Only GOAT #2 could win with his B game.
The five Koreans should start to prepare to be exiled to N. Korea for 10 years of hard labor when you finished being shut out of the medals. Hopefully they can hire Nut Rage Lady's lawyer to help minimize their sentences.....nuff said.

Please do chime in and correct me! 1) The course is only 6200 yards long! It looked like there isn't a tree anywhere and the rough isn't too bad, which would normally scream bomber's paradise. But the guys who won, they aren't generally considered long off the tee, are they (I honestly don't know)? Anyway, I feel like the length of the course will neutralize what might have been a bomber's advantage. 2) This might be won on the greens. Are they tricky? They looked pretty undulating. 3) It looks as though playing around the green might be challenging, so the women are going to want to hit greens? And being flat and near the water, I suspect there will be some wind. 4) They keep comparing the course to those in Australia, so maybe we should watch out for Minjee, Su Oh and Lydia this week. Everything seems to be setting up well for Ko, alas. But I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that we can finally have a good week for the women from Korea. Just one big time win for them in 2016! GO Team Korea! 1) Unfortunately, I think they are playing 6200 yds...which IMO....is far too short for top elite women pros....kinda like a pitch and putt....but there will be many lousy players in this event....so I think the IGF doesn't want to embarrass the 30 bottom scraper players. Yup.....if a course is set-up to a bomber's advantage....women's golf would be set-up at 7000-7100 yds...Lexi, Bam Bam, Ariya, etc can handle that length without issue...but many LPGA pros would struggle to keep their scoring averages low. Justin Rose and Stenson are not shorty's....JR at #19 in driving distance about 302 avg....and Stenson is Mr. 3W....not short and can pound his 3W further than many other PGA pros drivers. Let's not forget the wussy's that bailed...many are also bombers. 2) I didn't watch much...but the greens seems somewhat slow....I think they are playing on bermuda greens.....golf is ALWAYS won the the moss....Drive for Show...Putt for Dough. Ko's putting has been at times.....suspect. 3) The thing about part of TRUE links golf is weather.....we've seen often enough at the Open Championship....if weather is benign....the courses play like goat tracks ad the game becomes a classic aerial attack that 90% the PGA and LPGA play. I don't know if this Hanse design allows players to have a ground attack into the greens if the winds shows up. 4) Yes there are sand belt type tracks in Oz...but I'm sure there are parkland style tracks too.....have Minjee and Oh said they are comfortable in windy and playing a ground attack if necessary? Most courses in NZ are parkland style.....I believe the Wonder Kid has said she doesn't love the winds and I don't know if Tina was able to steal a lot of moey from the NZ Golf Federation to have Lydia play a lot of sand belt courses as an Am. I think all the pressure back home from Korea will have a negative effect on the Sista's.

Unlike the guys....the gals will be passionate about winning a medal. I bet the gal that wins the gold medal.....cries on the podium when her national anthem plays.

I disagree that a course has to be 7000 yards long to be an advantage for bombers. With rough not long enough to cause a problem when they spray the ball. They only have to make par fives two shot holes for them. Then add length to par threes and fours. The shorter hitters are at a disadvantage both ways.
Last Major is an example.

Gil was on Gulf Channel saying 7100 played short for the men and 6200 is short for the women. I don't know what is too short or too long, I just don't want Stacy to win.

Ridiculously short. Irregardless, on Wednesday by 7 am Pacific, we'll know whether IGC can make up for a lost season and get a medal. It doesn't matter what the other players do.

Won't happen...too much stress on this stage for Dumbo. I think the Golf Gods are getting her back for throwing Argonne's head cover into a garbage can at O'Hare.....that's a shame.

It's a shame we won't get to see Ha Na's GOLD celebration. Really it could have been the Olympic highlight of the day.

I guessed that it would take less than five minutes before they mentioned Brooke Henderson. Not counting the opening montage (yeah, she's in it), it took about a minute. So I go onto lpga.com looking for the pairings. It's really hilarious/sad how you Yanks FAWN over the Canadian Princess. Yes, the below is Cdn content....but yet's it's a feature vid on lpga.com during Olympic week....LUV IT. I know you Yanks can't stand yourselves and are shamed how so many countries /hate/don't like you and you all so dearly want to be Canucks. www.lpga.com/videos/getting-to-know-brooke-henderson-means-getting-to-know-smiths-falls
