Carta has a logo on her hat that looks like a strip club logo... Shiho Oyama wears the same brand...I don't know what it's called. I thought the logo was two women sitting back-to-back, but on closer inspection it appears to be man and woman.

CRAP!!!! Choi has lost four straight holes to Seong and is down by 3 thru six holes. Not sure what Choi's plan is regarding caddies. She had a young local guy on her bag Tuesday, then Daddy took over for Wednesday's match. I don't know who had her bag during the Thu. AM match, but Tuesday's looper is back on her bag in the PM.

Does Seong get an automatic invite to Evian? Otherwise, I imagine she will turn pro on Sunday night.

Could this be attributed to GC covering the Open Championship vs other networks which normally cover the REAL majors. Although it's likely a small # to begin with.....I'm surprised at the millennial YOY increase....this demographic is not really interested in golf. IMO...the golf industry is dying.....although not officially public...Golfsmith is filing for chapter 11 until a new owner can be sought. I don't know the US retail market....but I think it's fairly saturated with also mom and pop shops in play. Bricks and mortar is dying...IMO...the retailer's are demo ranges for guys to try out clubs and then buy them on-line cheaper. GolfTown basically destroyed all it's competitors here in Canada.....though I think there can be some downward reduction of poor performing stores....54 locations here. OMER owns GS & GT. Like everything in life.....the 80/20 rules applies in golf too...keeping the industry afloat.

Phil Do you think McLean needs to focus a bit on speed within Lucy's swing?

I thought the logo was two women sitting back-to-back, but on closer inspection it appears to be man and woman. It's called Kappa. They mostly do soccer wear. I bought a pair of what I thought were rain pants at a golf shop in Tokyo last year. Now I think they're actually soccer warm-up pants.

Why doesn't Muni wear anything with SC's logo? Normally they pay their atheletes top dollar. Now I am sure you are a UCLA fan. Don't be jealous of USC.

the last pac12 player in the mix is Andrea Lee a stanford commit for 2016.
i beleive Muni He is a 2016 commit at usc and not actually a student there yet.
it may be the roll of the dice but it is interesting that asians are being matched against other asians which eliminates them from possible finals consideration, ie. there will be less chance of a asian vs asian final.

I root for the University of Wisconsin- my alma mater. If push comes to shove I prefer USC over UCLA. I have more friends from there. Usually they have a better sense of humor.

I noticed yesterday that one bracket was loaded with the best players.

Wow, that was anticlimactic!
Seong basically steamrollered Choi. Choi actually didn't play as badly as you might think, but Seong literally made no mistakes, and Choi made a couple, and before she even knew it she was 4 down. At that point it was just a matter of time.
As for Choi's caddie: she had a local for the first nine holes, then on hole 10 her dad stepped in to try to rescue the situation. Apparently he did the same thing on Wednesday. The laid-off caddie continued to follow them anyway, perhaps hoping not to get stiffed for his fee?
They had tons of coverage of this match again, and had a side-by-side of Seong and Choi's swings. Am I the only one who thinks Seong is Sung Hyun Park 2.0? I recall a few weeks ago when Seong was in contention at a KLPGA event and was paired with Park. It was an interesting battle, even though Seong faded at the end.
Andrea Lee was almost as impressive. She hit some long drives, but it was her putter that was unstoppable, and she destroyed Ree.
So now we get Seong vs. Lee, another match that could have been the final (and was at the US Girls, where Lee got out to a strong start, but lost when Seong came roaring back). I'm not sure who has this one, but Lee played last week and Seong didn't, and the difference in fatigue might be a factor? We'll see!
