Do the Korean players like In Gee or are they jealous because she is so popular in Korea and has such a slick and well-oiled publicity department that caters to both Korea and US? My dream is for an Inside the LPGA Tour show where they talk about stuff like this. Like a Hollywood INSIDE EDITION style show. My gut tells me that In Gee isn't in the Korean clique, that she is trying to hang out with whomever. There might be some serious cliques that you're either in or out. They must just form out of convenience, travel companions, etc.

I should have gone to this in 2014...Maryland is not that far for me. My one regret is not going to past LPGA events when they were in Delaware or Maryland. How far in the future has the LPGA committed to the UL Crown? The event website has no information on if, where, or when they'll play it in 2018. 2018 IC is going to be held in Korea. But no words on whether they'll make the tournament days national holidays.

I bet the international crown gets tweaked so we're seeing something with the top 24 or 32 golfers in the world. There's 200th ranked players in this thing. I don't have a better idea. But I think maybe Top 6 USA + Top 6 World Lexi, Stacy, Gerina, Kerr, Korda, Bam Bam Lydia, Brooke, Mingee, Su Oh, Webby, Gaby vs Top 6 Asia + Top 6 Europe Inbee, SYK, IGC, Amy Yang, Ha Na, So Yean Ariya, Shanshan, Nordqvist, Pettersen, Nomura, Teresa Lu That's a great event am I right? (I guess I put Thailand in Europe. I'm cool that that. This even would be great.) The key to these kind of events is nationalism, either historically or geographically. It doesn't work if it is mixed and matched. That's why nobody cares about the President's Cup. They had something like that a while ago in the Lexus Cup. It went away, while Solheim Cup is here to stay.

Countries just aren't 4 deep other than the US and Korea. So was this thing a flop? I guess that's why they went w/ the International Crown idea instead. www.worldgolf.com/newswire/browse/3696-Lexus-Cup-will-pit-12-international-players-vs--12-Asian-golfersMaybe you do 3 from each country and then each country gets to draft a 4th player to their team. 8th seed picks first. They don't have to be the top 8 ranked players. DRAMA!

But at the 2012 CWO...it seemed like Belen was putting on a magic show to some fellow pros...they were all laughing when Belen was trying to catch a ball in the small of her back. You might be able to determine a few cliques by looking at some Korean twitter accounts....but their social media is not the greatest or frequent...the Koreans would rather practice and/or forced to practice by their dad vs. the leniency given to the Yanks to go to the malls or hair/nail salons. I think the Korean father's worship BJ and how he has Michelle on such a short leash.

I believe if the Koreans don't win the IC in 2018....the tournament director and his team will go for a nice Sunday drive...only to end up in North Korea and publicly executed.

Aussies jump to No. 4 in Crown www.golf.org.au/newsdisplay/aussies-jump-to-no-4-in-crown/93449"I can't wait to be part of the team,'' she said. "It'll just be the highlight of my career, I think, since we never get to play with a team. To represent Australia and to play in a team with Minjee and Karrie will be great.''

Rory also seems to be extremely well-liked even though he is near the top and will only add to his resume with an easy victory at Oakmont this week. I've always thought Rory's won enough, it'd be OK if he doesn't ever win again. May be I should adopt the same thought for In Gee.

I'd love to see the Solheim Cup changed to Americas vs. Europe vs. Asia/Australia/Kiwi-land. Get Lydia, Minjee, Gabe, and Brooke into the mix.

I'm sure y'all here know all about it. KLPGA vs JLPGA or Korea vs Japan. whatever it is. I think i'll just stream that event and be happy enough.

I think early in the year, mr3 said IGC will win one tournament this year. That is realistic. Watching the players in person at Nabisco, IGC has more talent than anyone out there with the exception of SHP. Just sit back and watch the majors roll in over the years.

Based on my personal observations at Sahalee (and keep in mind my extreme pro-In Gee bias), In Gee seemed to be more solid than Ariya in every aspect of her game other than length (and maybe scrambling, but I didn't get a chance to see In Gee do that too often). Even her putting, which gave her some trouble last week, seemed stronger; Ariya had to often work a lot to save par (and usually succeeded, but as I said, you'll have a short career at the top if you are expecting to be able to do that all the time). In Gee, meanwhile, was usually missing by just a tad (albeit there were a lot of tads last week). I can see those putts starting to fall as she gets more acclimated, and if so, watch out. I didn't see Henderson play in person, so I can't comment on how In Gee stacks up to her.

It pits the KLPGA, JLPGA, LET and ALPG (Aussie tour) against each other. Last year was the first time the event took place. It was in Japan, and Japan took a huge lead after two rounds. But in the singles, Korea rallied big time. They won every match but one, but that match was against Japan, and that allowed Japan to eke out the win. The KLPGA team was mostly KLPGA players (Sung Hyun Park, In Gee, Yoon Ji Cho, etc.), but had two ringers: Bo Mee Lee, who usually plays in Japan, and Sei Young Kim. The LET and the ALPG, by the way, got destroyed. They were nowhere near the top two teams.

We watch because the players are so passionate about playing for their teams/countries. Once you try to incorporate more players for the sake of star power, you risk turning it into a All-Star game. And we all know how much the fans care for the All-Star games...
