In Gee absolutely choked today. It happened to the best of them; Nicklaus, Palmer and etc. Oh good grief, she certainly did not choke today. You guys get way too critical of these golfers sometimes. I was of course rooting for In Gee to take this, but she's had three strong rounds this week, and it's very hard to come up with four in a row. Today it got a little windy, and as we've learned she is not yet as strong in the wind. But her putting was still fine. What .......more excuses for the Sista's...I'm shocked....LMAO. Dumbo gagged....she gagged early on too...wasn't she +2 by the 6th hole while others on top of the leader board were under par. Who cares if 3 of 4 rds are strong.....end of the day...lowest aggregate score wins. Face it....the Koreans have lost it...their closing rate is not impressive. Luckily there's Bada*s to get the job done. The Good Doctor needs to reach out to The Smiling Buddha and train the Koreans how to step on their opponents throats to close it out.....he'll invite weekly guest note speakesr to teach the Koreans to be nasty....Kerr, Tutta, Hedwall will be the feature guests.

No I don't think so. You have to show your respect to your playing competitor, regardless of the outcome. Then you can go and celebrate. Brooke Henderson showed a lot of poise as a 18 year old champion. As soon as she'd won, she calmly went over to Lydia and hugged her. Lydia showed a lot of class also. And Brooke just won her first major. Think about how exited she must have been. I am not saying Sei Young does not have good sportsmanship. On the contrary. From What I see she is very sweet girl. All I am saying is that Sai Young, like many Korean players, is very successful in the LPGA and that I wished she showed a little more empathy towards Carlota, who has yet to win her first LPGA tournament. I think Dumbo needs to be a little more mindful...

Yes...both Brooke and sister Brittany didn't get all jacked up and act stupid and Brooke respectfully went over and hugged Lydia....then...I think it was Alena Sharp and her caddie....went over to Brooke to celebrate. Again...I blame Dumbo and her loop who both prematurely ran onto the green....and as I said before...I still like Dumbo and will be a In Gee fanboy. I think when a Sista wins a big event or it's their 1st win...the other Koreans get too excited a run onto the green prematurely too often. Is it good form.....No....but I give them a pass...I personally don't find it a big breach of etiquette. I'm more interested how a player behaves both inside and outside the ropes. I've yet to see an Asian female player act rude.....99% of the LPGA pros are a delight to watch...I have many fav's...and you all know who I don't care for....approx less than 10 pros.

My point exactly. I like Dumbo and most of Korean players. She is a breathe of fresh air. She is very talented, tall and elegant. I saw her at the Kingsmill. Speaking of tall and elegant. M.J. Hur is very tall and very elegant. She seems a little aloof though. Maybe it is the language issue. I think she can gain lots of fans if she is a little more gregarious. Yes, I think Koreans celebrate a little too much, a little too soon IMO. Others may resent that. At any rate, I don't mean to sound negative about Korean players. Quote the contrary! They raised the game of golf!

I guess you didn't see the International Crown and Solheim celebrations.
Strange that your only post is about the celebrations. It should not be that big a deal.

It doesn't matter, but it was defo Lydia who was clapping immediately after Brooke's putt dropped and started walking to her with both arms open for a hug. Maybe Lyds was making sure the people about to pour beer on an 18 year old on national television got there after Brooke congratulated her opponent. Regardless, it was a nice moment.

I really like Dumbo, but I agree it was an etiquette breach to celebrate before the players and caddies had exchanged pleasantries. She certainly isn't the only one to have done this. I've often complained about players rushing on to the green prematurely. Also, given that Sei Young has already won this year, I thought the celebration was a little too much. Showers should be reserved for 1) 1st wins, 2) major wins, and 3) first win after n(3) years. Otherwise, wait off the green and give the winner a hearty hug.

I LOVE that they celebrate each win in a big way, I hope they don't change it. They get second guessed enough in the press, the last thing I want is for another thing to get dumped on them.
Although there are a lot of Koreans on tour, they still must have a bit of a bunker mentality what with the barely disguised hostility they must sometimes encounter or be aware of, not to mention the huge expectations heaped upon them by fans, press and sponsors. The celebrations build camaraderie and are a positive way to celebrate all the hard work they've done and what they've overcome. I approve!
However, yeah, they should wait until the hugs on the green are done, and they usually do. What can I say, In Gee is exuberant! She certainly didn't mean any offense.

MJ was pretty striking ar Sahalee wearing a tight pink outfit one day....yes...she seems a bit aloof. The only Koreans who seems to really enjoy the fan interaction are The LOVELY HYP, Dumbo, Grace and SYR....SYK and The Hulk to some extent...the other Koreans are a bit stiff and robotic. I'd say only about 10-15% of the rest of the tour are as fan friendly as the 4 first Koreans I mentioned.

I agree. The shower thing is getting old-save it for a first timer or a long awaited repeat win.

That's Dumbo, a bottle of champagne waiting in her golf bag. She's prepared like only royalty.

I think MJ Hur was pretty fun in this clip from a few years ago. She probably is a little more stoic on the course because she doesn't have as much easy success as some of the other Koreans do.
