Wow....Judy just accused Se Ri of mailing it in after she obtained her HOF status and implicitly indicated WinBee might do the same.
Luckily there aren't too many Koreans in Detroit to throw Samsonite's at Judy's way as she boards a plane at Detroit Metropolitan.

Wow, it's terrible how they make an obviously injured Inbee Park struggle just so she can play enough events to qualify for the HOF. The ten year requirement is the stupidest part of the thing, and she better not do lasting damage to her thumb this year.
My own prediction: after she plays at KPMG, she will take the rest of the year off. Too bad, it would have been great to see her in the Olympics. So now the question becomes, do they replace her with #5 on the list? Well, right now that's Ha Na Jang, who is herself in a tailspin. Hopefully So Yeon Ryu can move into fifth and get on the team.
Great day for Ryu today, and Minjee also played well in the same group. Not as good for In Gee, but hopefully she'll rebound tomorrow and move into contention.

Lorena Ochoa should be in the Hall of Fame. The fact that she accumulated the points in seven or eight years, makes her better than if it took 10 years. While I agree with the sentiment no-one is forcing Inbee to do anything, she could take the next 3 months off, play another couple over events and qualify. For that matter she could qualify next year if that's the time she needs. For mine, Inbee wants to qualify at the KPMG, a Major she has won three years running and she is doing what she has to do to make that happen. Maybe this was always the plan and celebrations are already in place, who knows. I'm sure she'd rather be in a position for a four-peat but that's not likely to be the case now. She's already stated that playing wont cause further damage so I don't see that as an issue. The question now is whether we'll ever see Inbee back after the KPMG, I hope we do.. The ten year rule is the ten year rule, just as the 27 point rule is 27 points, not 25. That's the qualification required, everyone knows it, so be it. It's hard, seriously hard, to get the 27 points to start with, if you then have to wait some time to get to the ten years you should simply enjoy that time. If you want to bail before then, well, you know the rules.. |

In Gee was 8 shots behind after day 1; she made 3 bogeys, either she didn't chip or putt well.
It's unusual In Gee shot 3 rounds par or worse in a 5 round span. We'll find out today whether she is in a mild slump or just not sharp. An under par round will do wonders.
Hopefully we'll see some of her shots when Golf Channel starts to live stream at 4:30 PM.
