ABS...that's all I'll say until Sunday morning...no need to jinx anyone. hahaha Saturday I was like what the heck is this. Then after watching Stacy drill her approach at 14 bravedave had a "aha" moment. ABS. Come on Amy you can bounce back from the I K Kim snafu at 15. Same reaction as Inky too. I'm woefully behind on my dvr so I'm sure it's all played out by now? Anyone But Stacy.

Where is Bangkokbobby when Ariya has a 3 footer to win the first LPGA title for Thailand! BKB is crying right now wiping away the tears from his keyboard to write his blog. Congrats to Ariya...but I was hoping Porna would be the 1st Thai to win a full field LPGA event.

I don't know if this win will stop Ariya from being too nervous when she's in contention. IMO...she laid back too far on 17. And WTF...it seemed like a 787 could land on the 18th fairway and she's teeing off with a driving iron on a hole that likely played up to 425 yards up the hill and against the wind....assuming the tee was at 411 yards. I don't care what motor mouth Stupples says.....how many pros were in the right fairway bunker....I'm guessing very few.
In this day of forgiving technology at their access....I can't believe an elite pro golfer who can't be confident hitting a 460cc driver. IMO....Ariya should experiment...to gain more accuracy she should try a 43.5 to 44" driver with a high kick, low torque 75gm shaft with a 10.5 low spinning head lofted up to 12* or a 12* head.....she can experiment so much on the range with a wrench to adjust the loft and some heads you can adjust lie angle. She could kill that driver.....leaving less club on approaches with closer chances for birdies....Ariya's got to get more confidence. Ariya should be destroying layouts like the Senator with no trees and minimal rough.
If Ariya is gonna win more..she's gotta take advantage of her length.
Ariya didn't wait to putt on 18....a good move...otherwise the nerves would have build.

The 17th hole is a great hole....the whining from the commentators are all uncalled for. Gerina and Minjee simply gagged it fanning their 2nd shots......I love that back pin....too bad this wasn't the 18th hole. 18th holes should be stressful...look at the 18 at Quail Hollow.
It was nice too see all the pros hanging back to congrat Ariya. I'm surprised the Thai pros weren't more jacked on Ariya's win.

I'll just have to forget about this week, that's for sure! Thompson crushes on the JLPGA, my fave players non-factors on the KLPGA, and now Amy Yang and So Yeon, two of my favorite players but the two I have the hardest time watching because they always seem to blow it when it counts... Well, they blew it when it counted... So Yeon wasn't really in this once she bogied that one hole to fall three back, but Amy, man, she should have had this one. I remember thinking as soon as she took the lead that she would immediately bogey the next hole, but hoped I would be wrong. Nice birdie try, just missed, and... OMG, how did she miss that short par save??? ARGH! She still should have had this one... She had probably the worst break of any of the approach shots I saw on 17. I mean, nobody ended up in that weird rough down there, her shot was right down the middle, just a little short, and ended up taking an inexplicable bounce to the left that led to all that heartache. All she needed was a par on that par 5; even HYP, with her terrible putting there, managed one. Par puts her in a playoff. Birdie wins it. Alas, bogey is a nice pat on the back and decent check but no trophy... Ah well, congrats to Ariya. Better luck next time, Sisters!!!!

Meanwhile, In Gee is like a kid in a candy store touring Disneyworld. If Dr. Won Park can't control Dumbo in his absence...he should outsource The Dragon lady or BJ as Dumbo's guardian......this tomfoolery by Dumbo is embarrassing to the Korean culture.

Congratulation to Ariya, a struggle but she won. Kudos to Hee Young for her great final round.
So Yeon, what can I say! Hit sixteen of eighteen greens in regulation. But 36 putts, and 32 in the third round. Still needs a lot of work to make more putts under pressure. Top ten not too bad, but considering her start it could have been much better.
Still not losing faith in her making the Olympic Team.

If In Gee were So Yeon this week, I'd be all over her for her incompetency; but not you. Congratulations for possessing the best fan attitude I know of.

I've got to assume it was a volunteer...did everyone catch a person in sandals running across the fringe approx 8 feet from Ariya's birdie putt....Ariya was at address...WTF....if that was Crusty Kerr she would have personally wrapped an iron with screws around the vol's neck. I'm surprised Tom Abbott didn't make fun of the situation.
I know many of you have attended events....they are too many idiots who are volunteers....they might as well not have them..... or at least screen them

3Putt must be going crazy watching HYP shoot up the leaderboard. WTF....come on...thanks for jinxing the LOVELY HYP. She nearly 4 jacked the 17th...that's a classic Am mistake leaving long putts short...but 25 feet short is pathetic and then a bogey on 18 that they didn't show. The Golf Gods will punish you for sending bad karma to The Rocket...you won't break 90 for 3 months. ... Well, you might be right about breaking 90. But your ABS rant almost did the trick - please try a little harder next event and we'll pull her home to a win!
