So Yeon can catapult herself into the Olympic picture and within a few tenths of a berth with a win. No matter how you cut and slice it; two of So Yeon, In Gee, Sei Young, Ha Na and Amy won't make it. At this point it seems HaNa is totally off the rails. I wonder if InBee would ever decline if she's not totally healthy?

I wonder if InBee would ever decline if she's not totally healthy? That's a good question regarding Inbee. We'll have a better idea at Kingsmill, either she plays or not. So Yeon, In Gee, Sei Young, Ha Na and Amy will be basically at a statistical dead heat if So Yeon wins this week. It's a question of who plays better from this point on. Ha Na is potent, she won 2 of the first 5 events this year. There is time for her to recover mentally and be counted.

I would be nervous if In Gee leads by 2 shots after 36 holes. Most people don't realize In Gee overachieved her results this year. She is the only player to have four top 3 finishes without leading any rounds of any tournaments she played.

They said it on the broadcast. That her caddie is a good pair for Minjee because she always lays up to precise yardages on Par 5s and her caddie is like, good at that??? It think it was Supples talking. Yes....most pros want to lay up to a very specific distance...but I'm sure Minjee will go for a par 5 in two if it's warranted. But a very small slope in lie will change their mind. e.g.) I was 205 yds left to a par 5 yesterday...and the ideal shot was a draw around a tree to a left green...but I had a very slight slice lie that made the shot tricky.

Are you surprised at DFL....lol....did you see her scoring average in college...at least she's cute. They played the same course during the qualifier when she shot 68. They must have been hitting from the red tees. Every player can catch lightening in a bottle.

I feel bad for In Gee that she's in the field with the like of Ariya Jutanugarn and Lexi Thompson. Those two players are so talented that when they're on, they are on a different league.
Ariya birdied 8 out 9 today and shot a 28 in the back 9; a rare feat. She won't be caught if she stays on her games tomorrow.

So Yeon was patient and finally birdied #17 to go -10, her first in 14 holes.
Go So Yeon, Go Ariya!

After the dust settled, we've a pretty good leaderboard; Ariya, Minjee, O'Toole, So Yeaon, Stacy and Morgan.

Because very few players can follow a great round with another great round. So Yeon is not quite in that group yet. However minus one is not bad, still connected to the lead. I actually found myself applauding, when she saved par on eighteen. That should give her a boast for tomorrow.

I saw So Yeon's par save on 18, it looked like a 6-7 footers and she had less than 50% of making it. It's critically important, not only it's a confidence booster but it also moved her to the last 2 groups tomorrow.

Round 3 This one is by no means over. Jutanugarn is on a course that suits her game to a tee, but she is such a chaotic player, you have no idea if she'll go out tomorrow and blitz the field or play like a Symetra tour reject. Given her situation, I'm betting she'll be pretty nervous, and we've seen some pretty epic collapses from her in the past. If you are a golfer at 8 under or better, keep your head on straight and play well, cause you just never know, it might be enough. Minjee looked pretty solid most of the day, and she has put herself into the ideal position of chasing and putting the pressure on AJ. So Yeon was not as good, but she's shown she can go low on this course; the pattern seems to suggest she's due another low one. Go So Yeon!!!! Amy Yang at 8 under might have a low round coming; it's a perfect non-stress position for her. It will be interesting to see if Hyo Joo can post a good finish her to improve her Olympic chances. Go Sisters!!!

In Gee isn't my choice for a free throw contest, but fortunately, not a skill she needs in golf! https://www.instagram.com/p/BFE46Daxe5D

Dr. Won Park better relocate Dumbo to Wyoming near a golf course and fast where there isn't much to do but practice....otherwise it's over. These Koreans are very good at keeping their Italian boyfriends out of social media.
