I think they are butchering Buhai's name. See, you don't have to be Asian. I guess it's never been anything sinister or discriminatory. Golf broadcasters are just bad broadcasters (compared to just about every other televised sport).

Whan stumbled into it but it turns out these back to back majors are brilliant. Two intense weeks of the best golf of the year.
This should happen every year from now on but in reverse: the Scottish (to acclimate to the time zone), the British, then the Evian. That way when Lexi misplaces her passport after the WBO it won't make any difference, since she won't be playing the Evian anyway.

Looks like Ashleigh Buhai had a little trouble getting the horse to the barn. She made three late bogeys to fall from minus fifteen to minus twelve.
Again the Korean players are near the top of the Leaderboard. I wonder how young Hinako Shibuno will fair. It will be interesting because she is having a great year on the JLPGA.

Round 3 There's no quit in Jin Young. There was also a bit of destiny in that hole-out on 16. Even when she bungled the first par 5, she immediately ran off several birdies to let everyone know that she's not going ANYWHERE. She just seems ready for this moment. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that Jin Young can make serious magic tomorrow. She came from 4 back just last week, and we have to keep in mind that some of the leaders have never been in this position before. Shibuno was literally someone I had never heard of six months ago. I just have to believe she is overdue a bad round, and when things get tough tomorrow, at some point she will make several big mistakes. Just as 20-year-old Jin Young was not able to hold off #1 Inbee Park at Turnberry, Jin Young can now be the older player to capture the win over the 20-year-old young gun. And ditto Buhai, who barely held it together today. Of course, Sung Hyun is also right there, no doubt itching to make up for Evian, and Lucky Six is (wait for it) six shots back, which ought to be a sign of something. Go for it, Sisters!!!! Let's make this final Major round of the year an incredible conclusion to the Major season. Keep on HWAITING!!!

There are plenty of video interviews on lpga.com ... but none with Hinako Shibuno. I was out today and didn't see Round Three ... did they do an interview afterward?
Shibuno is now on my must-see list when she plays at Aronimink next year...one way or another she's gonna be there!
Keep in mind that she shot 30 on the back nine twice this week and obviously at different pin positions. Still, the committee might have a few curveballs to throw at her tomorrow. I looked at the 4th round scores from Woburn in 2016...none of the top-10 players broke 70 on Sunday. If she closes the deal tomorrow, she'll be a Japanese Dumbo.
Shibuno highlight reel taped off a TV set in Japan...these are different camera angles compared to GC...I don't know if TV Wowow brought its own cameras or used the BBC feed (probably the latter). The guy with the blue wig at 0:01 is her manager. Everybody has a high(er) swing speed at this level, but what amazing fluidity she has to go with it.

it appears that hinako shibuno does not speak english, so no usa lpga interviews. there are videos and interviews when she won the salonpas major in japan on youtube, all in japanese of course. when she wins tomorrow there will be plenty of interviews. attached (i hope) is an translated japanese interview: www.asapsports.com/show_interview.php?id=152523she is double jointed in the arms, which may add to her fluid swing, and she is a fan of Lexi Thompson.

Here is Smile Cinderella's translated interview from today, after R3: www.asapsports.com/show_interview.php?id=152549Couple sample questions... Q. Can you explain what the professional golfer's test is? HINAKO SHIBUNO: It's just a four-day tournament in Japan, but it makes you want to vomit and (laughter) I never want to go through it again. Q. Could I ask, what have you been doing in the evenings, and what will you be doing this evening and who will you be spending time with? HINAKO SHIBUNO: So after a round, I eat, take a shower, I eat some sweets, watch YouTube and sleep.

Anyone think Karen Stupple's theory that Shibuno won't do well tomorrow because they usually play only three-round tournaments in Japan holds water? Karen did correctly believe she would do well today.

i think that's BS... both of hinako shibuno's wins on the jlpga, the salonpas major and the new shiseido tournament were 4 rounders...

The BBC got out of the business of televising golf a while back to conserve their resources towards their Saturday coverage of the Premier League. Sky Sports is the UK rights holder for the R&A and thus the host broadcaster.Kevin
