So great to see So Yeon fight her way back to even par with a minus five round. Jin Young also had a great round to put herself among the leaders.
I just don't know what to make of Sung Hyun Park. It looks like she is going to jump out ahead, but then she starts making mistakes.

In Gee pulls off buttoning the top button on a shirt. Hardest thing to do in golf.

I notice the fav hobby of the 4 handicap men's rights activist type is watching the lpga for rules violations. Hey, at least they are watching.

Minjee vs Sung Hyun. Could be the finish of the year in March.

Aigoo, a 7 on the par-5 16th... ...currently sits at T-15, which is pretty good for this field.
Muni climbed out of the bottom of the garbage dump...good play on the last four holes could give her sole possession of 56th place.

Round 4 It's amazing to think that Sung Hyun Park has now won 6 LPGA tournaments, always by coming from behind. She really feels more comfortable as the chaser. Anyways, another brilliant win for Park at the HSBC! Like on Friday and Saturday, she started hot today and soon cruised into the lead. But on both of those days, she had a horrendous back nine and dropped out of the lead. When she bogied the par 5 8th it looked like she was in for a third collapse. But no! She gathered herself, made some great plays, and wound up stealing the win right out of Minjee's hands! Minjee played well, too. A 69, coupled with Ariya's collapse, should have been enough for the Aussie to get the trophy, but Park shot the best round of the week, a 64. I don't think Lee should feel too bad: a second straight runner-up is nothing to sneeze at. Lots of great stuff from the Sisters. In Gee produced a 69 to grab a t-15th. Inbee nearly had a top ten but had to settle for a 14th in her first event back. Lucky Six shot an appropriate 66 to move to 5 under, a t-11th, which almost exactly matches her t-10th from Australia. Meanwhile, Jin Young had the cute comment of the week when she was caught telling her caddie on the 18th hole, 'one more hole!' It must have been tough, but she made a beauty of a birdie on that last hole to sneak into third. Hyo Joo 5th, Eun Hee Ji 7th. Just a great week for the Koreans. But biggest congrats to Sung Hyun Park on her 6th win and first of 2019. Way to go! Hwaiting! In 5 tournaments since KEB, In Gee's best round has been -3; her ball striking was the culprit. Hard to make birdies from off the greens or far away from the pins.
Her short games were in full gears when she won KEB; she also got a lot of help from Charley, Danielle, Ariya, Sung Hyun and Minjee. She wouldn't have won if those players were on all cylinders.
She probably won't change her coach ever, because she feels indebted to Dr. Won Park who helped her to become a star.

Prior to the season I had this hunch it'd be a down year for the Seoul sisters. But they have started this season so strong. The field of Koreans is so deep with winning talent. The youth--SHP, In Gee, Jin Young, Lee6--are ready as ever. Even the ahjummas are still going strong--Eun Hi Jee, Amy Yang... and Inbee also looks about ready to win again. So for now, I'm not so worried. The Lily Muni He era of women's golf is not quite here...yet.

Sung Hyun finally got that back nine demon off her back for the win. Nice second place finish for Minjee, but it could have been better. Bogey on fourteen, a hole with her length she should have been chipping for Eagle. Great birdie on eighteen for Jin Young to tie Azahara Munoz for third place. Kudos to Amy Olsen and Hoo Joo Kim for top fives. Amy did not even need a back stop. kidding. Great seven birdie round for Jeong Eun6 to finish one shot from top ten. Alas: So Yeon could only manage an even par round. Missed only three greens but had thirty three putts. I really hope that she plays the Founders.

Minjee (and Nelly Korda) had the worst fairway percentage among the top 10 finishers hitting just 39 of 56 possible fairways. Although there does not seem to be a strong correlation between scoring and driving accuracy.

Men's golf fans and men's only golf media are the worst though. I saw that tweet from Shackleford I think you're referring too. Give Shack some slack. There are less than a handful of "nice" men on tour and that's his only frame of reference. He couldn't tell Minjee from any other female player if she hit him on the head. Which she probably should.
