Even the best can't always finish the job; head up, Minjee.
Nicklaus, Woods and Sorenstam all have done it; a big number in the final round to give it away. All sports do that, but golf especially.

SIRAK: HATAOKA RETURNS HOME AND ROCKETS TO VICTORY AT TOTO JAPAN CLASSICThe burden of expectation is a massive weight to lug around a golf course, especially when it’s magnified by the hopeful cheers of thousands of adoring home-country fans. On Sunday, Nasa Hataoka was more than a match for that pressure, closing with a 67, capped by a birdie on the final hole, to win the TOTO Japan Classic by two strokes, adding to an LPGA storyline in which globetrotting stars have risen to the occasion on home soil in 2018.

I assume this prize is for lowest round of the week and not the biggest gag of the day...and all that extra work to remove her from the manual scoreboard.
Looking at past pics, I don't thnk J. Song has a regular looper...I don't recognize this guy...probably some dude from Down Under who works the Asian tours.

A really good week. NASA won, Gimmie and Muni got their cards...And Alabama, USC, Fresno, UCF, made me some money. Going with Green Bay at +11 on a teaser today. Oh, how can I forget about Lucky6?

Not a good weekend for So Yeon, but not a terrible one either. Her putter let her down the final round, 18 of 18 greens hit but 34 putts. Five birdies, a bogey and double bogey.
Great final round for Jin Young Ko, lowest round of the day.
A big congratulation to Nasa for her come from behind victory. I thought that Carlota length off the tee would give her an advantage last two holes. But I forgot length alone isn't enough. You still have to execute under pressure.

Nasa won Japan Women's Open in 2016 when she's 17. Immediately I liked her swings, her soft touches on putting and her fearless on the course.
I thought she's what it takes to do well at LPGA; she didn't in 2017 but she did this year.
Nasa was totally unprepared in 2017 but she's a bit lucky this year. She won twice but ranks 10th in scoring average with a scoring average of +11 in relation to par 70.

I sure put the kibosh on those whom I praised yesterday, eh?
The Japanese players did really well this time around.

Also, +11 would be her cumulative score over her 83 rounds if every course were par 70. Her average would be +0.133 in relation to par 70. And why par 70? Most LPGA tournaments this season have been played on courses set up at par 72, none at par 70.

mnmlistgolfrWelcome back! Top players strive to have scoring averages under 70.000; so I use 70 as the standard independent of whether courses are par 70, 71 or 72. +11 means Nasa needs 268 (-12) in her last tournament to get her scoring average under 70.000 for 2018.
