So Yeon did not have a good ball striking day. Her approach shots weren't close enough to be called legitimate birdie putts. But she is minus six with one more round to go.
I was really impressed by the young golfer Sakura Koiwai game. I haven't watched many JLPGA tournaments. So this is the first time that I have seen Sakura play this much. It's not like she is just playing great this tournament. She is fifth on Player of The Year list, and seventh on the Money List. The start of a great career.

In Gee will be the first to go out tonight; hoping for -4 or better with a hot putter.
At the least, hope she'll shoot low round of her group.

I wonder if Jin Young got inspired by Lucky 6 today. . .she's on fire right now . . . As usual she starts most every round with a bogey and now six birdies thru 14 holes. . . She finished up with one more birdie to close at -11. . . Should be good enough to once again put her in 5th place in the Race to the CME Globe. . . Should be tied with Sung Hyun for 5th place. . . Stats are now available confirming the above at www.lpga.com/statisticsShe still leads in Greens in Regulation and in 2nd in Top Tens. . . From the 2nd Round. . .

Forget Koiwai, it's Saki who'll be playing at the Seaview in 2019...
...except that Nasa is ruining that dream.
Meanwhile, Minjee is gagging so badly that the GC online broadcast won't even show her.

Minjee is continuing on her torrid pace. She's had a great season from start to finish. Surely my praise can't curse her winning this thing. Well, unfortunately, evidently it can!

Round 3 Major gag job by Minjee. She blew it so completely that she was off the leaderboard by about half an hour into the tournament. I'm beginning to think she is a down under version of So Yeon Ryu: immense talent, but more often than not can't close the deal in the final round. Speaking of the world #3, another frustrating week. Yep, once again she just misses a top ten, finishing t11th. In general, it became obvious to me about an hour in that Nasa was going to win, so I quickly lost interest. I took my little pleasures in things like Jin Young's beautiful run to the top; ought to help her scoring average at least. Old lady Ji Hee Lee notched a top five herself. Also a rare top ten for Inky, who can hold her head up high even despite that terrible bogey on the 17th (we won't speak of such things!). Amy also had a decent outing, and Jae Eun Chung as well (they would not stop reminding us of her 154th in the world ranking). On the downside, Jiyai did not do her final round queen thing and missed a top ten, while In Gee played all right (a 69) but still finished outside the top 20. After the high of the two weeks in Korea, the last three weeks have been less than stellar for the Sisters. Let's hope they can kick it back into gear in the final two events. Hwaiting!

LOCAL FAVORITE HATAOKA FIRES 67 TO WIN TOTO JAPAN CLASSICHataoka, who also won the Arkansas Championship in June, started the final round four strokes behind second-round leader Minjee Lee. Lee quickly faded, playing the opening nine at 7-over 43 and opening the door for Hataoka, who played the same stretch at 4-under 36. Hataoka had a setback after the turn, carding consecutive bogeys at the 11th and 12th and allowing Ciganda to briefly pull into a tie for the lead. But Hataoka regained her confidence with a clutch par save at No. 13, and her birdie at No. 14 reclaimed the lead.

Round 3 After the high of the two weeks in Korea, the last three weeks have been less than stellar for the Sisters. Let's hope they can kick it back into gear in the final two events. Hwaiting! Yes, the Crown and KEB took the heart, soul and spirit out of In Gee; she's still living in the past. One off week for In Gee to recollect and realize that life goes on; off to CME Group Tour Championship.
