Finished like a Champion. Wasn't going to let someone get hot and catch her. She knew that if she didn't bring her "A" game, another golfer would bring their A Plus game.

Great finish by Ryu...there were only three sub-70 rounds and she had the best one. Nothing on Youtube for that part of the coverage, but I hope it will get posted later.

Mika Miyazato left the Witness Protection Program to post a top ten. Seriously, I thought she had retired.

I gave up trying to find the final round on video... Congratulations to So Yeon Ryu! She did what she had to do, playing one of her best rounds of the week when it counted the most. She didn't even let what looks like an early run by one of her opponents rattle her. Nice job! This is So Yeon's fourth national open title in her career. Do you know what they all were? Answer at the bottom of the post. http://instagram.com/p/BoWGhIrAdp_ http://instagram.com/p/BoWWEmLgf7g In Gee did not have a good finish, alas. Again, without the coverage I can't say what it happened, but looking at her scorecard, her only birdie Sunday came on the hole that was hardest much of the week, the 16th (!). Congrats also to Chae Young Yoon for getting at least one more Sister into the top five. Also a tip of the hat to the two most ancient of Korean stars on tour, Mi Jeong Jeon and Ji Hee Lee, both of whom finished t-14th. But biggest props of all to So Yeon Ryu for another great win in her career!!! YAY!!! Answer: So Yeon's four national titles were: 2009 China Ladies Open 2011 US Women's Open 2014 Canada Women's Open 2018 Japan Women's Open ... and she lost the 2012 Aussie Ladies Open and 2008 Korea Women's Open in playoffs. In both cases, she had a lead going into the final few holes and couldn't hang on.

Yes, that KLPGA Open lost was to a great golfer name Ji Yai Shin. Still it was a downer for me and I am sure So Yeon felt the same way.
Like I noted before So Yeon can't win with her "B" game, because the other players brings their A plus game. One example, Charlie Hull played the best game of her career to beat So Yeon at the CME.

The winner's interview by the JGA...gee wiz, the max resolution of 360 is rotten video quality.

Interesting that she answers in English. . .does that mean that the interpreter is more fluent in English/Japanese than in Korean/Japanese? Or did So Yeon choose English. . .
I've seen other Korean winners on the JLPGA tour actually answer in Korean through an interpreter. . .
