It runs Sept. 27-30 at Chiba CC (Noda course) about 15 miles north of downtown Tokyo. It's usually impossible to find a working stream for this event and SBS Golf & JTBC Golf won't carry it. I have a couple of working NHK links, but they might not be right. I would try Youtube via this search:
日本女子オープンゴルフ選手権競技
You can find the full field of 120 in English here:

Sun-Ju Ahn has to be the favorite; she's won 4 times this year and leads the money race. Sun-Ju Ahn

OK! So Yeon, vacation time is over, back to work. LPGA should consider naming KLPGA Korea Women's Open and JLPGA Japan Women's Open as majors, replacing both Ricoh Women's British Open and Evian Championship.

You're making a pretty big assumption that the JLPGA/KLPGA would want it's biggest event to be part of the LPGA? These tours don't actually need the LPGA to survive and indeed thrive!

Most majors aren't part of either PGA or LPGA Tour. The Masters, US Open, the Open and PGA Championship aren't part of PGA Tour. They run their own tournaments, PGA Tour doesn't have any input. Each major on its own is bigger than the tour. The same is true for US Women's Open. A proper question is whether Korea Women's Open or Japan Women's Open would accept stronger fields at the expense of having less local national players.

This article features a discussion between two And Per Se sponsorees: Dumbo and a Japanese player named Rei Matsuda:
I tried to read the translation. Funniest bit: Matsuda asks In Gee if she got her hair cut short because of a broken heart (LOL).
In Gee replies that she just felt like getting her hair cut short, no broken heart; but thinks she got it cut too short and is letting it grow out again.

There's a geo-blocked video of the above discussion at this link. I can't watch it, but the preview frame, which you can see at that link, looks hilarious. If someone can find this so we can watch it, let me know!!!
