Eh. It's early. The Koreans have never had a good track record on courses where the winning score < -20 (looks like this could happen this week). Not surprising that the one event they won this year was also the one that had the highest winning score. Koreans were all over the Aussie Open leaderboard. It's not going to get better at the Founders Cup, which is usually set up supremely easy, but Kia tends to be harder. If they are getting swamped there and they didn't set the course up easier than usual, I might get worried then. Lol. Memory loss? The winning score was -17. Inbee won this tournament last year shooting -19. Ha Na won it the year before with a -19. Thanks for reinforcing my previous post...that Happyfan will make up any cry baby excuse whenever the Sista's are unlikely to win...nuff said.

Nice jinx/reverse karma. Jtibs gags on the 18th hole.

Obviously the pro hits the ball...but as I've said before...I think Galloway has been good for the Asian Giraffe. He gave her the read on the 18th hole putt...they just seem to gel on the course.
I always thought Duncan was a bit too aloof for Wie's personality....I think BJ kept him on for a while cause he's Xtina's BF.

No comments today. I don't want to jinx anybody else after I jinxed So Yeon. SYR 64. Glad you have finally learned....Happyfan has not even though I have suggested the above many times.

www.golfwrx.com/499124/michelle-wies-winning-witb-2018-hsbc-womens-world-championship/Asian Giraffe's WITB Her Diamana shafts are really stout with very low torque....I want to demo the Modus shafts...but you see few around....hitting it into a screen does nothing for me. Brooke, Charley and I think Tutta play the Modus. Oh ya...did you guys notice Wie dumped her Toulon putter in favor for an Odyssey. IMO.....putters like Toulon, Scotty are vanity clubs...why the f*** pay $500+ for a putter. Even the Scotty head covers are expensive.

With such a small purse...what a joke that the HSBC is considered the FAKE Asian major....yet the REAL and FAKE Chinese put up the largest purses on the Asian swings and yet so many racist pros decide to boycott the events...nuff said.

I don't think it has anything to do with the purse size, or "racism". It's about their place in the schedule. For many of the top players, their spot in the CME points list is pretty much set at that point, and resting before the CME is the primary concern. OTOH, many of the top players skip the Pure Silk, so the early Asian swing is when they get their season rolling.

Get the Koreans on a hard course and most of the time they will be all over the leaderboard. Get them on an easier course, and sometimes they have the putters hot, sometimes not. Last year they did quite well, this year it didn't fall their way. Inbee won entirely because of her red hot putter. My rule of thumb: if you need 12 under or better to even get into the top ten, not a good sign. My ideal tournament has winning score between 10 and 15 under, top ten around 6 under. If you have several people shooting 64 or better, also not a good sign.

The LPGA doesn't play on any hard goat track courses....then to add salt to the wound....the LPGA sets it up like a pitch and putt....the Aussie gal...Ali Whitaker...on the latest podcast said the LPGA dumbs down the courses.
