The Shop-Rite/Acer boosted its purse from $1.5M to $1.75M, the first increase since 2006. That may be an inducement not to skip this one the week after the USWO.
I assume there are fewer crooks in Shanghai than in Beijing...nevertheless, Mikey better start funding the grease budget now.
They're certainly vague with "Greater Los Angeles" regarding one of the new tournaments...and where exactly in San Francisco?

They're certainly vague with "Greater Los Angeles" regarding one of the new tournaments...and where exactly in San Francisco? I thought that the San FranSisco event is on the same course that the Swinging Skirts was on a couple of years back. Right you are...returning to Lake Merced GC, but it's not in the SF city limits, but I guess writing "San Francisco" is sexier than "Daly City". The Bay Area in April...ugh. I seem to recall the last Swinging Skirts at LMGC was nothing special, so I reviewed what we posted. The Hulk was +6 after Day One and quit. The final day was dreadful...the spectators who showed must have froze their butts off and almost no one followed the last group of Nomura (the winner) and Pace.

In the Bay area. Sometimes the weather in April is not that much different, from the weather in July.

They are gonna FREEZE their a*ses off at Lake Merced. I think the LA event will held at the GREAT GREAT man's course.
Looks like the FAKE major in September will be shortened to 36 holes with a decision by Whan on Wednesday night. Whan is a fool announcing the Shanghai event....it will be cancelled in August...unless Angel Yin wins 8 times by July including the USWO and forfeits her Merican passport for an AMAZING Chinese passport.

Happy New Year, everyone!
I want to attend that new event in L.A. so I sure wish they would pin down the locale. I will be headed up to Saskatchewan to watch the CP Women's Open and to visit family.

I think this is a rather dissappointing schedule if you ask me, if it was not for the Asian sponsors the tour would still be struggling!
None the less, things are improving.
My understanding is that the sponsor of the LA event will be MEDIHEAL who sponsor the So-yeon Ryu

It's a complete joke how some say the LPGA is a US based tour......delusional or they are sucking on fanofseri's crack pipe. I assume Hugel is the parent company of Mediheal?....if they hand out free skin masks...25,000 Korean women will show up....maybe a good event to see how many short skort, pantyhose knee high gals show up to fangirl....I gotta believe there will be a lot of Flying Dumbos and Attack Girl's in attendance...I'm thinking the Great Man's course will be the host venue.

It would give new meaning to a sudden death playoff.

So much for the resident expert thinking it would be hosted at the Great Man's course...yes the Smiling Buddha is a TOOL. mnm...have you played Wilshire?...what do you think of the course?...I assume you've at least been on the course to watch some form of event? Are a lot of Koreans members?....what do you suspect the initiation is?....is there a wait list?....or is it another club suffering with the downturn in golf and offering trial memberships?

I've never played it. Regular membership is a $70,000 once time fee + $725/mo. and $100/mo. for food/beverage.

Yes at 6500 yards a fair length...but classic LPGA won't play it out on any given day....71.8/132 indicates a fairly tough track difficulty.
