Looking forward to the new event. Interested to see the fan turnout. Will LA show up to support the white girls? Or will this feel like a continuation of the Asian swing. I know they briefly had a tournament in the City of Industry, but come on now. That is not really LA. Plus this one comes during a time of unprecedented Korean success on the LPGA. Since it's JTBC I'm confident it'll be a good tournament.

You really need your "A" game to score there.

Did some digging in the Google newspaper archives...in 2001 Wilshire CC was set at 6,349 (par-72) and only 13 players broke par (played three rounds). It was Mannika's 4th straight win and it was the top sports story in the papers of Victoria, TX and Rome, GA.
A. Sorenstam -6 (one-hole playoff) Peanut -6 P. Hurst -5 Redman -4 Dina A. -3 Neumann -3 Moodie -2 Inkster -2 K. Albers -2 Delasin -1 Pearl Sinn -1 C. Sorenstam -1 K. Marshall -1 (I saw her as Kathryn Imrie at 1990 Curtis Cup...by far the most impressive swing there).

If they promote this event well in Ktown handing out brochures in front of H-Mart, etc with some discounted tickets, etc (Asians love cheap things)....... the Koreans turn out. Heck...assuming there are stores in Ktown that sell HUGEL products...for a minimum purchase get two free tickets or a weekly badge. HUGEL should also set up a booth at the course entrance with free samples. Heck....... get Dumbo, HYP, SYR, Namdalla, REAL Ko for an autograph signing at H-Mart too to promote ticket sales. If the Koreans show up...I could see a fight occurring in the galleries against some white boys......the old Korean guys can be dbags if they don't get their own ways. I can guarantee that Lexi won't play in this event...cause Whan will pair her with SYR on Thurs/Fri and she'll be heckled by the Koreans for cheatin. No need to promote this event to white people....they won't attend anyways...evident by poor attendance at US based events. If there's one event in North America that feels like an Asian swing event...it's the CWO in Vancouver...ask Tonyj who has attended twice....I know he and Cindy feel like a minorities in Van City.

I like the choice of Wilshire. I can find a nearby hotel and just walk to the course.

I like the choice of Wilshire. I can find a nearby hotel and just walk to the course. Reach out to fanofseri....supposedly he's attending and gonna meet up with bravedave....tell that pink shirt fanofseri to get his a*s back on this site. I'm sure fanofseri will also take you to some sh*t hole watering hole to drink warm & cheap beer that serves rancid burgers and chat with some of his $2 hooker friends...you'll have a wonderful time...maybe those 2 SNOBS....mnmlistglfr and 4waymiss will lower their standards and have a beer with you guys. Unless Wilshire has $500 valet parking available...I don't expect SYRfan to attend.

Glad to see some loyalty between NYC & Jtibs....unlike Jenn Song who seems to be frolicking with as many LPGA gals as possible. I think NYC sold her house to move in with Jenn Shin.
