Lydia Ko is out in California today doing a media tour for the Swinging Skirts LPGA in San Francisco where she is the two-time defending champion. While out there she stopped by the Golden State Warriors facility to hang out with the best team in the NBA.
While there she met up with noted golfer and Sports Illustrated writer Alan Shipnuck snapped this photo of the two, with Stephen Curry practicing his swing a bit.
Curry is known as one of the best golfers who plays another professional sport, and recently had the chance to play at Augusta with teammate Andre Iguodala and team executives Jerry West and Joe Lacob.
The two had a putting contest on the Warriors court, which Iguodala jumped in on as well, but, don’t expect Curry to jump at the chance to play the world’s top female golfer on a real course.
That putt from Curry was pretty darn impressive, though. His range on the hardwood is almost better with a putter than a basketball. His putt actually was closer than Ko's, but he had home-court advantage. He's still probably smart to stay off the links with Ko.
Ko, meanwhile, tried her hand with a basketball. Let's just say she's not quite as good at Curry's sport as Curry is at hers.
Iguodala, reportedly, is a big-time LPGA fan, and Ko seemed quite appreciative that someone with Iguodala's platform watches the women.
Ko will check out the Warriors game Wednesday night against the Jazz.
