Woo hoo, can't wait for the restoration of the Wendy's Three Tour Challenge...per past practice, Golf Channel will broadcast on a one or two-month tape delay.

Obviously this is good news for the LPGA...but the LPGA needs the PGA more so than the PGA needs the LPGA.
I continue to say the LPGA is doing fine....with or without a PGA partnership. IMO...this is just empty rhetoric....if the really want to gain traction on this partnership....they'd announce specifics about two significant PGA/LPGA partnership events to be showcased in 2017.
It helps in tennis that the men and women play their majors concurrently and the gals make the same coin as the men in the tennis majors too. But I just don't see golf majors being played concurrently with the guys playing one day, then followed the next day with the women. Ya we had the Pinehurst experiment...but the gals got the leftovers from the USO the week prior.
It's all about supply and demand....if the USGA really wanted to...they could pay USO type purses to the USWO...but they don't...nothing is stopping them from doing so.
And did the PGA of America bring significantly more viewership/exposure to the inaugural Women's PGA Championship?....if the attendance at Westchester was an indicator....I think not....even Dottie wrote on ESPN W about the pathetic attendance.
We might get a silly season JC Penny type event through this partnership....but only the PGA no names will show up....unless the LPGA is willing to pay $1-$2 appearance fees for the top male pros.
The guys have too many events...and the top pros pick and choose where they play....does anyone on this site really believe the PGA pros will play in some co-ed events through this partnership....ok...ok....Michael Thompson, Nick Taylor, Tom Hoge, etc will show up...who?....lol

Maybe the PGA Tour can loan out their laser and radar equipment. How can I live without knowing Mi Hyang Smash Factor?!

I'd love to see the PGA type stats for the LPGA.....that way we fanboys can really drill down on the gal's specific strengths and weaknesses.....although it might become paralysis by analysis...especially for BJ Wie.

Also, the winner's WITB on the LPGA website is bare-bones, compared to what they do on the PGA Tour website. If I can't find out what kind of shaft Ariya has in her driving iron, I'm gonna die!

Maybe the PGA Tour can loan out their laser and radar equipment. How can I live without knowing Mi Hyang Smash Factor?! Phil: I know you know that for both the guys and gals that their smash factors are near perfection and that the gals have a +ve angle of attack on their drivers...while the guys are -ve....note how their spin rates are quite similar. I wonder if this aspect of hitting up on their drivers are coach at a young age or later in their teens or only when they become pros....I can believe it's more natural for a female to hit up on a driver vs. a guy. I suspect my average drives are flat or -ve...but I also adjust my 10.5 Jetspeed to 11.25 or 12. If I do try to hit up on the ball....it's typically a high fade. Then with all other clubs....both male and females have -ve angles of attack....with the guys striking more down on the ball to obtain their compression. It's not until the guys reach their 9 & PW do we see a significant difference in the spin rates vs. the gals ......and how much harder the guys work to get their balls to stop on their approaches to the concrete greens. blog.trackmangolf.com/trackman-average-tour-stats/

Agree. IMO....shaft is just as important as club head....maybe more so. I'd love to convince Golftown to loan me a Graphite Design shaft (with a credit card imprint) for me to demo and understand what a $400-$500 shaft feels like...I've never played anything other than stock shafts. I've played with 2 Koreans who had GD shafts....I would have ask to try their drivers....but both had really whippy GD shafts and they bought their clubs in either Korea or Japan.

I quite enjoyed the JC Penny, a silly season event which paired an LPGA and PGA pro together. I recall one year Se Ri and Paul Azinger were a team, and if my memory is correct, they ended up in a playoff with Laura Davies and John Daly for the title. Se Ri/Azinger lost, her only playoff loss in America. (!!)
I remember Daly and Azinger were both very impressed by the 21 year old Korean star, which was very cool.
