Weird dates for this one, Sunday 2/21 thru Monday, 2/22. A field of 42 has been posted for the KLPGA's first foray into Vietnam (outside of Hanoi). The best known names there will be Ji Hyun Kim, Da Na Kim, Jin Joo Jong, and Hye Yong Choi...most of the rest are 'B' and 'C' list types. No Vietnamese names on the list.

Any of the KLPGA golfers going to Australia to play in the Aussie Open or the Ladies Masters? They usually have a few in the field.

This is on LET site, it doesn't look like In Gee is in the field. ladieseuropeantour.com/?tournament=2016-isps-handa-womens-australian-openWe probably won't see In Gee until HSBC Singapore; for all we know, she isn't qualified for Honda Thailand. It's not bad to take it slowly and assimilate all that meant to be a LPGA rookie. Meanwhile, she allows herself to be fully ready both physically and swing wise.

It's frankly bizarre that a Major winner, and top ten in the world player, with LPGA status, coming off a third place finish, still wouldn't qualify for Thailand without a sponsor's exemption. In Gee played Singapore last year, so I expect to see her there this season.
But my question was more about the other KLPGA golfers. I recall Min Sun Kim in the field for the Masters last year. I wonder if Sung Hyun Park or Shin Ae Ahn might make it down there this year?
OK, checking their site, they mention the following with sponsor's exemptions: So Young Lee, a top Korean amateur who might be pro by now. Also So Yeon Kim and Da Eun Kim, neither of whom I've heard of, and Jiyai Shin!

In Gee Chun just confirmed via twitter that she will be in Thailand! In Gee Chun tweetGreat news! The money won't count but the Rolex points will. Time is running out for Olympics, she needs every points she can earn. It makes sense to skip Australian Open, it avoids a potential fatigue from traveling. I'm impressed with In Gee's management group; they make good decisions. One indication, both In Gee's Instagram and Twitter accounts are brief and to the point. In Gee reminds me of Maria Sharapova in many ways. A big part of Maria's financial successes is credited to Max Eisenbud of IMG, her agent from 12 years old. Max had a master plan before Maria won Wimbledon in 2004 at age 17, and they've executed it impeccably since then.

Agree, those are good tweets by IGC. She might not even know what twitter is. Someone is probably on top of it for her.

She does a lot of it back in Korea, too (as do most people her age). But it wouldn't surprise me if her management team is managing this particular outlet!

A tournament banner from the KLPGA website: "Winter Tour"...not sure what that means. Is this a pseudo-official event, like the LPGA's Brazil tourney a few years back? The KLPGA still lists only 42 Korean names in the field, but an article says an 18-year-old Vietnamese amateur will also play, Thao Nguyen My. The same article says Golf Digest ranks the golf course (Sky Lake Resort GC) as the best in Vietnam.

It starts tomorrow, but SBS Golf will show it tape delayed on March 5 & 6, Noon to 2:30 PM (local time). Anyone have a new streaming link for SBS Golf these days? The one at KoreaLive has been dead all year.

Looks like Ye Na Chung won this one. For a moment, when I saw the photo, I thought it was Ju Young Park.
