Bo-mee has confirmed that she will be playing at the Honda LPGA Thailand and the ANA Inspiration in hope of getting enough ranking points to get to the Rio Olympics.
Do i think she will there? unlikely unless she wins both events and plays more in America!

It makes sense that Thailand invited money leaders of both JLPGA, Bo Mee, and KLPGA, In Gee; those are hard to do. Most likely, they also invited the money leader of LET. I've never seen Bo Mee and In Gee competing head on with each other. Hope to see both contend on TV in the weekend .

In Gee and Bo Mee played head to head at the JLPGA's Salonpas Cup last year; IIRC they were both in the final group on Sunday. In Gee won that one. But I can't recall them ever being in the same event that was televised over here.

Happy, do you think Bo Mee make the right decision 3 years ago to become the biggest fish in a smaller pond of JLPGA? The adoration and publicity she receives in Japan can never be replicated in the US, even if she is as successful as In Bee Park. She is the opposite of Ai Miyazato, who abandoned the love of a nation, and faced the coldness of outside world and eventually fading. Even though Ai had her 15 minutes of fame as World No. 1, but it seems still too high a price to pay. I would love to see Bo Mee in the world's stage more, but can't fault her decisions.

I think Smile Candy made the right decision....she's not a world beater.....so she can make good coin outside of the ropes in Japan too. I firmly believe if BML could be a dominator...she'd be playing the LPGA...with much fame and fortune. I give credit to Ai-Chan going outside of any comfort zone and heading to the LPGA....let's face it....Ai-Chan was and maybe still is a bit...the face of Japanese women's golf. And Ai-Chan was never hurting for endorsements leaving Japan to head to the LPGA. Ya....the classic Yank can't and doesn't appreciate Ai...but the Mericans who aren't as ignorant..... do like Ai-Chan. It was great to see fans in Portland in 2010 rooting for Ai.....they are I were cheering Ai for the win.... taking down Crusty Kerr. Ji Ya had a group of Korean fanboys....I think Ji Ya was the Korean 'it' pro in 2010.

I do not consider that a "moment of fame. She is still young and can turn it around. I wouldn't count her out yet. Even though she is at a disadvantage on the par fives.

There are rumours in Japan that after the Rio Olympics Ai will be returning to the JLPGA in 2017. I for one think that would be great and to see Ai and Bo-mee fight it out would be a huge boom for the JLPGA.

Ai won 9 LPGA titles, no majors; by comparison, Lydia Ko has already won 10 titles including one major at age 18. Ai joined LPGA at 21 after already won 14 times in JLPGA. She was on track to become the greatest golfer in JLPGA history. Ai ranks 53 in LPGA history with 9 wins, I'm sure she expected better when she joined LPGA in 2007.

Are you fluent in Japanese by chance?

The LET Order of Merit winner in 2015 was Shanshan Feng so no special invite would be required. Kevin

I was not comparing Ai to Ko. I was just saying her career is not "fifteen minutes of fame".
Paula Creamer considered to be a top LPGA golfer has won only two more than Ai. She has been on tour a lot longer and I believe only one major. Most of the other golfers that's been there longer has won a lot less.

I agree it's courageous for Ai to come to LPGA, just wish the outcome could have been more favorable. 9 wins is no slouch...those wins would have been more significant if they were complemented with a major. It's Ai-Chan's lack of distance that kept her from a more superior career....it's tough to keep up when you're back 30+ yds from the power pros or when Ai is hitting a 3 hybrid when some others are hitting a 6 iron. Ai has don't well for her short status. Mannika cheated the system with 'juice' and then suddenly became a LPGA driver distance leader and was untouchable from 2001-2005.

Bo Mee should come over here. So should Sun Ju Ahn and Jiyai Shin. They are too good not to be on the premier women's tour.
Did it work out well for her? Sure. But she has top ten in the world potential, and IMO with her talent she should want to see how far she can fly.
