Although the U.S. expelled Japan from Guam during WWII, it appears that Japan re-conquered part of it. The websites for the golf course (http://www.leopalaceresort.com/) and the tournament (http://www.guamgolf.jp/) are in Japanese.
It’s probably a popular off-season golf tourist destination...a 3-hour 40-minute flight directly south from Tokyo. The average January temp is 85 F.
I never heard of this event before and they’ve been playing it since 2003. I don’t think it’s part of any Asian tour. The field had 79 names, almost all Japanese and almost all unknown to me. One exception was Hikari Fujita. Why is a big-time player here? A: The LeoPalace Resort is her sponsor.
Fujita (left) and Risa Murata (also sponsored by the resort)
The winner of this two-day event was Emi Sato (71-71-142, -2), who beat Serena Aoki in a playoff for a first prize of Y 2,000,000.
Fujita may have been distracted by other responsibilities, T-29 (74-77-151, +7).
The field had five (obscure) Koreans; the best finished T-53 and the other four finished 70th or worse. All five may need to return home as stowaways, courtesy of an immigration mule.

It's possible that Guam is a normal off-season destination for the Japanese pros. TaylorMade/Japan reports that two of their staffers are down there (but didn't play the tournament), Aoi Onishi and...
...Ayaka Matsumori - what a doll!
