In Gee double bogied #13, dropped to -3. Throughout history, great champions birdie the hole after a double.

If an American wins this week, I believe Commissioner Whan has the authority to retroactively declare Coates as the 6th major. LMAO

Today it should be fascinating to see how SYR does with the new swing. It is pretty gutsy to rebuild your swing in an Olympic year. I guess she realizes she'll never catch her best friend if she doesn't make drastic changes.

Yeah, i've seen a few tweets from golf media types w/ updates on Chun. The Mel guy on golf channel is still ambulance chasing Gimme and Sulky P. I've never noticed the little blue arrow on the golf channel broadcast leaderboard next to the featured pairings. Is that new? I wrote to Randall Mell yesterday and asked, "If In Gee Chun wins Coates, will the Golf Channel be forced to show her hit a full shot?." He did not respond. For someone so ancient.....how can you be so freakin funny? It still amazes me how SayYouSeRi quit this site because of your benchmark and legendary "fake" comment. I'm shocked at the membership on this site...no one has ever complimented you on the brilliance of your sarcasm. We have 2 polar members here. 1) Regulars of the contests who rarely or never post any comments outside the contest thread. 2) The regulars who post often...but don't participate in the contests.

Thanks mr3putt, but I am only going to be 60--I have at least three more years to follow women's golf. I wish SYSR would come back. I am just kidding 99% of the time. If I am not making fun of someone, it means I don't like them.

Hopefully, In Gee will keep her round at par or better.

The problem with Dumbo and SYR is that they are too nice....they need to become b*tches and develop a "I'll step on anyone's throat if you get in my way". If the LPGA had any interest in helping these two...they'd pair them often with Crusty Kerr, Ms. Pouty Face Lewis, Pick Up Tutta and The Pink Diva.

Since it's just a tweet, you'd think the Solheim Channel reporters could cover Lydia, Brooke, and the Solheim players while simultaneously tweeting about the other best players in the world.
When you read their coverage there's no way to interpret it other than as deliberate freeze-out. Oh well, I guess I can be a fan of the tour and loathe the golf channel.

NYC...looks like Meaghan Francella has her bag (says MF on yardage book cover) ************ Unfortunately for Min Seo Kwak, she failed to wait for her caddie to check the rule sheet and lifted her ball. Add two.I'm surprised NYC would employ Meaghan.....too Merican for NYC....NYC should ask Jenn Song's sister to loop. Smich thinks that loops are a make it or break it for a pro....it's not rocket science to clean clubs, rake sand and fix divots. Pros need to own their own games....all pros should know of any local rules and not follow the Dumbo Johnson model.

Umm, no: the guys get underway in Scottsdale Thursday and TGC will be live with them at 2pmEST. They normally have McCord positioned with the crazies at 16 but since CBS is covering the Stupid Super Bowl NBC has the weekend, so look for them to put Feherty in the coliseum. The ladies have the 11-2 slot Thursday but the third round Friday will be on tape delay at 8pm unless you can stream Golf Live or JTBC Golf.

Is there something that says SYR is working on an a new swing?

I guess she realizes she'll never catch her best friend if she doesn't make drastic changes. I guess I never saw anything that said So Yeon is working on a new swing. Anyway why should she, she has a great repeatable swing. Her transition is a little quick sometimes and she pushes it slightly right on occasion. Other than that her swing is solid. Unless she is going for more distance off the tee. It's just her putting that's holding her back.

SYR announced the new instructor yesterday on Twitter and Instagram. She goes to the Aussie in Dallas that taught Spieth how to play. Many of the Koreans (SYR, NYC & HYP among others) are chasing after more distance. I guess they dream of turning into Brittany Lincicome. My mother always told me to be careful what you wish for.
