The major takeaway from today's press conference in Naples is the new title sponsor of the season's first major at Rancho Mirage: All Nippon Airways.
The ANA Inspiration, as it is now called, will have a total purse of $2.5 million for 2015, the first of a five year commitment. It will still be held the week before the Masters in 2015 (2-5 April), but they may look into adjusting that slightly in future. ANA also becomes the official global airline partner for the Tour.

There will be a total of 33 events next season not counting the Solheim Cup in Germany (which comes the week after the Evian in September), although at this juncture the AirBus in Mobile is still listed as tentative. As previously reported the Tour opens in Ocala, FL in late January with a Saturday finish on the 31st, then skips over to the Bahamas the following week and takes a week off before heading to Australia, Thailand and Singapore. After another week off they begin the western swing in Phoenix, Carlsbad and Rancho Mirage, go dark again opposite the Masters and come back with Hawai'i (Saturday finish), San Francisco and North Texas. After taking the week of The Players Championship off they then hit a five week stretch beginning at Kingsmill, then hopefully Mobile again followed by the ShopRite, the Manulife (at a new venue in Cambridge, ON) and finally the newly-renamed KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Westchester. After stepping aside for another week opposite the mens' US Open they play in Arkansas, then take another week off before the US Women's Open in Lancaster, PA. The following week opposite the mens' Open Championship they play Toledo, then go up to Grand Rapids before jetting across to Turnberry for the Women's British Open. An off week comes between that and the last big North American run of the season beginning in Portland (the same week as the mens' PGA Championship at Whistling Straits), then up the road to Vancouver for the Canadian Pacific Women's Open and ending the following week in Prattville, AL. Labor Day weekend is dark before they go to Europe again for the Evian and the Solheim, then after another off week they play the final eight events of the season in one stretch: Beijing, Malaysia, Korea (the week after the President's Cup, also in Incheon), Hainan, Taiwan, Japan (they're working on getting TV coverage for that outside of Asia), Mexico and the CME Tour Championship.
