www.clpga.org/En/golf/tournaments/China-LPGA-Tour-Hyundai-China-Ladies-Open-Qualifying-2015/news_4683.htmlTEEN AMATEURS QUALIFY FOR HYUNDAI CHINA LADIES OPEN 2015/12/07 Haikou: Amateur Kanyalak Preedasutthijit booked herself a spot in the field for this week’s Hyundai China Ladies Open on Monday as the Thai teenager fired a two-under-70 to win the qualifying event for the national championship. Playing over the Mission Hills Haikou Blackstone course, the venue for the 54-hole, US$550,000 tournament starting on Friday, China’s Liu Yiyi claimed the other spot available when the 14-year-old amateur turned in an even-par 72 under overcast conditions in Hainan Island. In a field that included seven pros and 13 amateurs, the 17-year-old Kanyalak demonstrated poise well beyond her years with a solid round featuring five birdies, a bogey and a double bogey. “I’m an amateur player now and I played amateur events all year. I heard that there’s this great professional event and we (amateurs) can try to qualify, so I decided to go,” said the Pattaya native, a Thai national team player. “I’m excited now. This week’s field is strong with many top Korean players. I’m just aiming for the top 50 and try to make the cut after two rounds.” Liu, who will turn 15 on Christmas Day, earned her second consecutive appearance at the championship. “Last year was my first time to play in a professional event. My father was my caddie and he was more nervous than me. I played not well on day one, so I tried to make the cut,” said the teenager who won the Xian leg of this year’s China amateur tour in her hometown. “I’m happy to be a part of this great field again. I made a couple of great putts today, even though the golf course is long for me. Hopefully I can be better this week and make the cut.” As the Hyundai China Ladies Open celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, the tournament is again a co-sponsored event between the China LPGA Tour and the LPGA Tour of Korea. The top players in the field include defending champion and world No. 10 Kim Hyo-joo, her Korean compatriot Chun Inn-gee, the world No. 9 and reigning US Women’s Open title holder, and rising star Park Sung-hyun, a three-time winner in Korea this year. Top Chinese in the 108-player field include Pan Yanhong, a six-time winner on the China LPGA Tour, US LPGA Tour regulars Feng Simin and Yan Jing, and promising rookie pros Shi Yuting, Ye Ziqi and Wang Ziyi. Others in the field include players from Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The KLPGA website now has the final field of 108. I think SBS Golf ran a commercial saying Bo Mee Lee would be in it. Either I'm mistaken or SBS Golf is wrong, because she won't be there. She'll be playing a 3-tour charity event in Japan on Sun., 12/13. Sharon is going there with her parents.

How Dumbo working so hard, did not expect her appearance on this tour during passed round trips between Japan and Korea. And now, she's here.....

I know almost nothing about the players on the CLPGA. One exception is Shi Yu Ting...I have her swing video on my PC, which I took during Wed. practice at the 2015 USWO. She was decked out in red, white, and blue. The CLPGA ranks her as the best player from China who plays the CLPGA regularly and she's only 17. However, it's lame that the CLPGA counts her best score at the 2015 USWO qualifier in China as a victory on their tour!!!
BTW, China ranks eight Chinese amateurs ahead of Muni He...so what, we don't care!

Yeah, I thought In Gee was injured. Shouldn't she be taking some time off until January?

She was struggling with a shoulder problem, but given how many events she has played in lately, it must be healthy enough for her to play.
This will be the last KLPGA event she'll play in before she joins the LPGA, and she nearly won here last year, so I'm guessing this isn't just a sponsor or tour obligation appearance and that she really wants to be there.
She'll have her hands full; by my memory, Hyo Joo Kim has won the last three events she has played in China, including this event.

Did Sung Hyun Park play in any majors last year? I hope she does in 2016, or at least some LPGA events. Such a swing.

Did Sung Hyun Park play in any majors last year? I hope she does in 2016, or at least some LPGA events. Such a swing. Sung Hyun Park did not have a high enough world ranking coming into this season. I suspect we'll be seeing her in some Majors next year, though; generally the top three KLPGA golfers from the previous season get invited to several of them, and she was ranked #2 this year.
