Promptly at midnight Korean time this morning PSY finally drops his first album since 2012, and the lead single is the one that has been hinted at in his 2014 single with Snoop Dog "Hangover".
"Daddy" is already over 2.6million views on YouTube on its first day of release. Another single from "Chiljip PSY-Da" titled "Napal Baji" was also released at the same time but hasn't yet gotten traction.
OK, mr3putt, AKA Mr. stick in the mud, let's see if this is more your style of crazy: PSY's other single "Napal Baji" (literally "Trumpet Pants", the Korean expression for bell-bottom trousers) has exceeded 5.6million views to date compared with nearly 20million for "Daddy".

"Daddy" has now surpassed 50 million views on YouTube and has entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US at #97 and the Hot Dance/Electronic chart at #6. Strangely the album did not make the Billboard 200 but another K-pop act who released their latest collection around the same time as PSY has.
Bangtan Boys, or BTS for short, debuted in 2013 and have one album and four EPs to their credit, the most recent of which, "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Pt. 2", entered the Billboard 200 US album chart at #171. They are believed to be the first K-pop act not signed to one of the so-called "big three" labels (SM, YG and JYP) to appear on the chart.
