Believe it or not, there is another silly season event scheduled the week after Queen of Queens. And this one has a pretty impressive field. Read on! Ing Life ChampionsTop Korean golfers set to compete in new tourney
Top Korean golfers in the U.S. LPGA Tour and local-based golfers will go head-to-head on separate teams next month following the creation of a new tournament. Local broadcasting channel MBC and ING Life Insurance Champions on Monday signed a sponsorship deal for the ING Life Champions Trophy. The event will be held at Bayside Golf Club in Busan from Nov. 27 with a total purse of 1 billion won. The event will feature a total of 24 golfers. The top 10 golfers from the KLPGA Tour and top 10 Korean golfers in the LPGA Tour will be selected based on their prize money rankings and each team can have two additional players by recommendation. The event will have a format similar to the Presidents Cup or Solheim Cup, featuring four-ball and four-some matches as well as single match plays. Though a KLPGA Tour sanctioned event, it will not be officially recognized because the number of participants is too small. Organizers said world No. 1 Park In-bee, Ryu So-yeon, Kim Sei-young will play the event. Click here for a look at the field. Wow if true! |

If the KLPGA could swap out Gyeol Park and Yeun Jeong Seo for ringers from the JLGPA and New Zealand, they might have a chance to win.

korealive.tk has MBC...it's working right now. But, when I tried MBC Sports, nothing happened. Which MBC channel will carry this?

These type of team event is only exciting when there are nationalism or rivalry involved.
I won't be surprised if they each concede 20 footer to each other to finish early and go to Korean BBQ and karaoke together.
