Bumble Bee is a FREAK OF NATURE....while Carlota lite up the course....ICE QUEEN never faltered or let her lead be in jeopardy...she finished it in style with a perfect birdie on 18...as much as Annika dominated....we often saw Annika miss a putt on 18 that meant nothing vs. Inbee draining it. Inbee fired at the flag on 18, instead of the middle of green, to show Carlota, who battled her all day, that who's the boss. Don't let her stoic demeanor fools you. Queen Bee has the ego to match her game.

I wrote the same thing several posts prior...there is no consistency to the application. Breaking up an ALL KOREAN final group demonstrates the LPGA bias against the Koreans cause they did not want an all black haired Asian final pairing for viewership.....and Whan does nothing about it. Regarding the pairing, to quote Chris Rock, "I don't condone it, but I understand". If you are the NFL, with sponsors lining up on their knees to try to give you their money, you can talk about all the principles and rules that you want. But this is women's golf. This tournament is already struggling to find sponsors and the future is very much up in the air after next year. I doubt from TV viewership point of view, at least for US market, a final group pairing of 3 Koreans Vs 2 Koreans + 1 Spaniard makes any difference. From what I saw, the crowd was clearly rooting for the Spanish speaking Carlota. And she promptly gave the Queen Bee a great battle that SYR could never have mustered. I won't be surprised that it was the tournament director who tapped Mike Whan on the shoulder and asked if they can put Carlota in the final group. What would you do if you were Whan?

I used to have much faith in Whan....but his willingness to throw approx $3.5M to save the KNC before ANA bailed them out and his fawning and cheering when he brought the Solheim Cup to the LPGA was a bit too much.....if anyone was to bring the Cup to the LPGA office .......it should have been Juli...NOT Whan. Whan is not the CEO of the LPGA...he's the commissioner....who represents the players who are international in demographics. Well, the Solheim Cup is co-sanctioned by LPGA and the LET, so Whan technically does not need to act impartial on that one. Regardless of his title, he is the head of the LPGA afterall.

Of course Whan needs to act non-partisan ....he's fawning over all things Merican...how would the Koreans, Chinese, Australians, South Africans, etc thinks about all his US fanboying. You think Finchem would act this way?.....or any NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB commissioner fawning over one specific team.

UGHCan you guys really tolerate Stupples? Sadly, I think we unfortunately might see more of her with a potential....soon to be.....retirement of Judy. Nicole Castrale is an attractive lady...but IMO...she's very vanilla with a microphone. I actually like Stupples. She doesn't have the halo on top of her head like Judy. And she speaks fast with an accent, not like the "soothing" voice of Judy. But on the other hand she doesn't pull punches like Judy tends to do. Judy has become a bit too reserved for my taste. Stupples doesn't hesitate to call people out on the spot. Stupples especially shone in the Solheim Cup, probably because she played in it recently. She mentioned how the Tutta can be tough to play with as a teammate because of her in-your-face style of motivation. And how someone like Angela Stanford is great at putting 4 rounds of good scores together but doesn't have to "play to win" fortitude in her for match play. But don't worry 3Putt, Stupples is just keeping Judy's seat warm for Dorothy Pepper.

By that logic, why not put Michelle Wie in the final group every time, no matter where she is on the leaderboard? Wait, maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas...

After three rounds, Arnold Palmer was stinking up the 1968 USO, but for the benefit of TV they sent him out in the LAST group on Sunday with two rock-bottom amateurs.

UGHCan you guys really tolerate Stupples? I was watching Golf Central the other day when they switched to a recap of the tournament by Stupples and Watson. Karen said something she has said repeatedly that really irritates me. She said it's been a great season for Inbee, because 'in her mind' she has achieved the career Grand Slam. No, no, no! It's not 'in her mind', Karen. The LPGA itself says that she has done it! Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you get to say that. Sheesh, let it go already!

I might add that this insistence that Inbee has not completed the Grand Slam might be a Golf Channel mandated opinion, because all of the people on that channel seem to go out of their way to qualify Inbee's achievement whenever they mention it. The black guy on Morning Drive did the same thing the other day (yeah, I actually watched a few minutes of that show...), saying she has won the Slam, but 'there are five Majors now' or words to that effect.

Black lives matter! His name is Damon Hack. GC needs to beg Holly to come back to Morning Drive....she's basically a ghost nowadays at FOX. IMO....winning 4 different women's major = Grand Slam Winning 5 different majors = Super Grand Slam.

Relax HF, I don't think GC is not out there to get Queen bee. MD has 1 to 2 hours of airtime to fill everyday, and this subject does make for great debate and hence good TV. Everyone seems to have different opinion on it.

IMO....winning 4 different women's major = Grand Slam Winning 5 different majors = Super Grand Slam. So what would you call Karrie Webb if she wins the Evian next year ( which she almost did last year ) ? She would have won 6 different majors in her career. In an attempt to clarify this mess by artificially creating this kind of title, the LPGA actually opened itself up for even more ridicule. This is the only clear blunder made by Whan.
