Here a Korean language clip of In Gee returning to her high school for a visit. Check out the little plaques celebrating the other famous alumnae, including Jiyai and Mi Hyang Lee:

So is this a public HS or a gold academy?...if the latter how did Dumbo's family afford it?

I corrected the school's website link in my original post, so it works now. There's a page with historical milestones...using two different translators, here's what it says:
Bing:

I'm guessing it's a public H.S., but probably has special admission requirements related to golf.

It wasn't just a social visit! Jiyai Shin Donates 10 million won to her high schoolGolfer Shin Ji-yai donated W10 million to her alma mater Hampyeong Golf High School in South Jeolla Province on Wednesday to create scholarships (US$1=W1,133). Shin, who held the world No. 1 position in women's golf in 2010, is currently playing in the LPGA of Japan. She is also engaged in nurturing young aspiring golfers. On Thursday and Friday, she will host a junior tournament under the sponsorship of ThreeBond Holdings in Gokseong, South Jeolla Province. A total of 120 golfers from elementary, middle and high schools will participate. The highest place finishers will be given scholarships. "I'm in my 10th year as a professional golfer, so I wanted to do something to help junior golfers," Shin said.

jtbcgolf.joins.com/news/news_view.asp?news_type=15&ns1=13513Congrats to Google for finding the above article dated 5/26/2010, which could not be found by my usual Korean search sites. It has two photos (wish they were bigger). Team Hampyeong shed their school uniforms and did some amateur modeling. From L-R in both pix with ages: In Gee Chun(16), Mi Hyang Lee(17), Go Un Yu(16), and Su Yeon Jang(16). Of course, we know the first two made it big in the LPGA and the fourth one is a star on the KLPGA. The third player, Yu, played the KLPGA big tour for about a year and a half, bombed out, and retreated to the KLPGA Dream Tour.
