The final Major of the KLPGA season is upon us! In Gee Chun and Sung Hyun Park will resume their rivalry this week, while Jung Min Lee and Jin Young Ko also hope to notch their fourth wins of the year. Inbee Park is a special guest (she is sponsored by KB)! Between In Gee and Inbee, that's three of the five LPGA Major winners this year! Action starts Thursday:  |

The venue is Hamchon CC, about 45 km SE of Seoul...the middle of nowhere.  Shin Ae Ahn will appear after four weeks on the bench. Part of that was her decision, but it also seems that winning a Fake Major gets you nothing...shut out of the KEB HBC...not even a spot on this week's Fake Major poster. She should have had her agent crash her into this week's Nobuta event in Japan, which has double the payout. |

Looking back at the "Player of the Year Stats".
On September 8,In Gee had 365 to 284 lead on Jung Min Lee.
Jung Min has not played that well since then.
So I am confused on how she closed the gap to four points.

I stayed up to watch Shin Ae Ahn finish her day on the front nine and boy, she was lousy...went from -3 to Even (71).  MSK5 is off to good start, but Soo Jin shot 74.   |

Round 1: Inbee Park Tied for Lead
In round 1, Inbee Park, the world's #1 women's golfer, played with two of the top players on the KLPGA money list,
In Gee Chun and Sung Hyun Park.
Inbee was in the field because KB is her sponsor, and in order to fulfill her obligation to them, was required to skip this week's LPGA event, where she was the defending champion.
Inbee made the most of it, shooting a 6 under par 65 to take a share of the first round lead. Tied with her was 2015 KLPGA winner Min Song Ha.
In Gee had a decent day, shooting a 69 to sit tied for 13th.
Sung Hyun Park struggled to a 2 over par 73, which puts her in danger of missing the cut.
Meanwhile, in the morning, Jung Min Lee, currently second in Player of the Year points, shot a 68 for a t-7th finish.

Look like Sung Hyun Park had a hang over from the last tournament.
She got out of the with three early bogies.
I guess she played pretty solid, after that.
I could only watch the early part, of the round.
