*************
Did some poking around to see how much the LPGA will rake in from Q-School this year. Stage One in August had 272 entrants at $2,500 a pop which generated $680,000. The top sixty players from Stage One will tee off at Stage Two next week...and will fork over another $3,000 each, plus 158 new players will kick in $4,000 each...so Stage Two will generate $812,000.
It's too early to say what they'll collect for Stage Three in November, as that field hasn't been determined yet (it will include top-80 plus ties from Stage Two)...they take credit cards only.
$0 (Players who started at Qualifying Stage I)
$1,500 (Players who advance from Qualifying Stage II)
$2,500 (LPGA and Symetra Tour members exempt into Stage III)
$5,500 (Top-40 Rolex-Ranked players)
