The story she told was that she had him caddy for her at this event in 2012, and he used that same bag then (he brought it with him from home I think she said). Perhaps that was her sponsor at the time and she didn't remember to get a sponsor approved bag before making this switch?

Happy Fan.
I was thinking the same way, about how So Yeon , after watching how M J handled things down the stretch. She stayed focused. Sometimes it looks like So Yeon loses hers. I never want to see her lose her fun loving ways, just not let it get in the way of her concentration.

I noticed this too....MJ must have a minor endorsement from TM to allow her to use a Titleist bag unless TM granted her an exception for superstitious reasons.
MJ could have had a TM rep courier her a TM stand bag in 2 days or she could have shelled out $120 for a TM bag at Dick's or GG in Montgomery.
Could you imagine BJ sporting a Ping stand bag for Michelle or Tina carrying a Mizuno stand bag for Lydia?

I'm all about branding....if ya want to be a 'star' ......look like one.....along with your caddie.
I will say...The Dark Side is pretty selective in their branding.....I've never seen any premier Nike sponsored golf pro's caddie who wasn't wearing a swoosh.

In 2012, Azahara hired John Killeen....Killeen wears Nike stuff.....yet Azahara has a Ping endorsement.
Aza should have made John sporting complimentary logo'd apparel.......Aza could have asked Pat Hurst's husband (Ping rep) or her agent or her dedicated Ping rep to ship hats, shirts, shorts, pants and outerwear to John's house.....John was also pretty lame too...the guy could have had a new wardrobe of free clothes.....Ping apparel is really quality stuff.

I forgot that M.J. was only 19 when she won in 2009. With five more years of experience under her belt, I think she'll have good results going forward.

With Paula Reto finishing third, surely that's the best finish by an African player on the LPGA tour?

Sally Little became an American citizen in the early 80s but still represented South Africa when she joined the tour in 1971. She won 15 times with 2 Majors. She won her first Major (LPGA Championship) representing South Africa and her second Major (du Maurier) representing the United States.

I must be honest. I recalled that there was a winner from South Africa but I couldn't remember who. I almost did a blog post about Sally Little some time ago. She was giving some talk at a clinic that I thought was inspiring and around that time I was blogging more about tour legends than I do now. So I remembered a golfing great from South Africa but I had to look up the name today. By the way, she is still giving clinics. And she looks great, still in shape.
