Anyway, really just wondering what people think about Chun, vs Ko vs Inbee over who would be their player of the year. In my eyes....InBee ( 2 majors) is player of the year, unless Bam Bam or Ko win the rest of the events on the LPGA tour. In my books...the JLPGA & KLPGA majors are meaningless...heck...the Symetra tour could designate majors.....it's still ridiculous that the LPGA has 5 majors. Comparing the KLPGA or JLPGA to the Symetra Tour is ludicrous. The Japan Women's Open had Chun, Ryu, Feng, Hyo Joo: four of the top ten golfers in the world. Plus Theresa Lu and Shiho Oyama, who recently contended in another LPGA Major. Name one Symetra Tour event that has more than one top 50 golfer in it. I will name a Player of the Year at the end of the year on my blog, and In Gee Chun might very well win it. I take into account not the straight up best player necessarily, but the one who achieved the most given her circumstances. As we saw with how Jung Min Lee struggled, going from continent to continent all the time to play events is tough. In Gee has logged more Frequent flyer miles than almost anyone, yet has seven wins to show for it. Having said that, Inbee's run of win-3rd-win in three Majors, and completing the Grand Slam, and possibly getting into the Hall of Fame, will be hard to beat.

Nice day two by Ha Na Jang! I actually had a chance to see a little of the action this morning. The leaderboard is just peppered with Asian stars. I don't think the Sime Darby fans will complain. Anyway, I would love to see Ha Na keep it up. She has played well this year, but I thought she would have won an LPGA event by now. She was really good in her KLPGA win a few weeks ago, and even in her loss to Ryu at another KLPGA event a few weeks before that. And with both Hyo Joo and Sei Young having horrible weeks, she could make a late run at the ROY if she could get it done. Keep it up, Ha Na! Nice to see Inbee start to hone in on her putting. She's won here before and was bummed that she had to miss this event last year (although, considering she was getting married, she had a reasonable excuse). If she can pull out a win, she would need just one point to get into the HOF. She has never won in Korea, and next week's event could then be the win that would get her over the top. How cool would that be? Possibly qualifying for the HOF in front of her home country crowd by notching her first ever win there? Yeah, I'm getting ahead of myself. Just keep up the good fight, Queen Bee! Inbee, IK and So Yeon played together today: a reunion of the bride and two of her bridesmaids from this time last year. They all played decently and all are in range of the leaders. Also noticed that Chella has her dad back on the bag. Doubtless until they notch her second win together, right? Amy, Minjee, Alison: lots of great ladies on the leaderboard. I like Xi Yu Lin, too. Go Sisters!!!

It's so great to see Yani Tseng playing well again. She has my favorite swing to watch, men's or women's, and a great personality. Looking forward to seeing her reaction to winning again, hopefully soon.

Surrounded by 16 Asians? Sounds like a dream date. Rice King...but you're at home.....as the majority of members here have Yellow Fever...that's why The Smiling Buddha feels so welcome here.

Comparing the KLPGA or JLPGA to the Symetra Tour is ludicrous. Happy...you're so funny and gullible.....hook, line & sinker. They should just terminate the Symetra tour...it would save a lot of parents from 2nd mortgaging their homes for many pipe dreams...Mark Burk should be the commissioner of the Symetra tour.

1) Also noticed that Chella has her dad back on the bag. Doubtless until they notch her second win together, right? 2) Minjee, Alison: lots of great ladies on the leaderboard. I like Xi Yu Lin, too. 1) I guess Jesus Mozo didn't cut it...he better suck up to Dumbo quickly before Dean gets her bag next year....I don't think Chella's Dad had any intentions of sitting at home with Mom. Jesus should chat up MHL for a bag...Phil....any inside advise you can give Jesus....I want to loop for Belen....gratis too. Chella's got to lay off the Korean Fried Chicken and pork belly...her complexion is suffering. 2) Hmmmm....Happy no mention of the other 'fake' Koreans? Ya...I like Xi Yu Lin too...The Smiling Buddha caught up with her at the CP CWO and chatted with her for 5 minutes....a nice young lady...she's not your typical small framed Asian. I think Mardi Lunn is guiding Janet well. But I think Janet's swing is a bit loose...so I don't think she'll be hanging with the leaders come Sunday's back 9. Gotta luv The Hulk's post rd interview...HULK SMASH!!! Is Clover Girl sponsored by Q Ray?....yikes. WTF is up with SYK & HJK...and HJK WD'd.....did Minjee pay them off to choke so she can obtain another Rolex?

Other gals who use a TM driver include Jaye Marie, Gerina, The Rocket, Kang, and I think Lang and Austin...though Lang might be Titleist. Although Gulbis is not playing...I think Gulbis might sport the M1 nowadays....she typically ho's anything new from TM.
I demo'd the M1 at Golftown 2 weeks ago with a Kuro Kage shaft....not bad...but it was indoors....the real test is trying any club on the course or a grass driving range.
OK Phil...what shaft is in Korda's M1....Graphite Design??? How about MHL's iron shafts? Is MHL gaming Cally Apex irons?

Not a great day for the Sisters on Saturday, but several of them still have a pretty good chance of taking this thing. Given how Korda has played this year, I could totally see her going belly up on Sunday. And if she does, it could be a free for all among those at 10, 9 or 8 under. Ha Na was going along well until that minor meltdown on the back nine. Fortunately she made a clutch bogey save and a late birdie to rescue herself from oblivion. She's in the final group with Korda and Ms. Sunshine. Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of fist pumps from her tomorrow. A Ha Na Jang trophy ceremony would be something else to see I bet. Go Ha Na!!! Inbee really stalled as well, but considering her first two rounds were pretty good, this one wasn't so terrible. She's just four back and is certainly capable of going low on this course. Would love to see her pole vault over Ko and Lewis. Go Inbee!!! Inky and Amy Yang are also at 8 under. I'm not seeing IK taking this, but how sweet would it be if she did? No one is more overdue a win than she. Kudos to Mirim Lee for shooting a nearly invisible 65. On the downside, So Yeon Ryu shot a 74 (!) and Minjee Lee a 77 (!!!!). Alison Lee, who at the end of yesterday was looking like one of those kids at the mall who is just-so-over-it, struggled to a 73. Go Sisters. Hwaiting!!!!

I guess whatever was ailing Korda physically has gone away. We'll see how she handles the lead. It is good to see Yani contending again.

mr3putt:
You expect me to eyeball a shaft?! Forget it! Yes, MHL has Apex irons and the shafts don't look like steel.
We forgot about TMAG's Mo Martin...she was still using an R1 driver during the summer...seems crazy...or is it? Shane Lowry won at Firestone against a world class field with a TMAG driver that was ANCIENT.

Congratulation to Jessica for her win. A very nice person. Kudos to Lydia, Ik and Ha Na, for top tens. Also top tens for Anna, Mika, Xi Yu, Yani and Shanshan.
Good final round by Q Baek and Sei Young.
SO Yeon, what can I say. You will figure it out
