Stacy Lewis is a great golfer, but she makes it very hard to like her, as a person. About three weeks ago, in an interview with Golf Magazine. She was asked who her biggest competitor was, for the number one "Rolex Ranking". First she stated that number three ranked Lydia Ko, was ranked number two. Then she went on to say that they would be fighting it out, for the top spot for a long time. To me that was very "DISPECTFUL" to number two ranked Inbee Park. The little respect that I had for Lewis, disappeared after that interview. +100000000 Lydia is a great player....Ko is Kool....but IMO.....Kydia at this point is not in Inbee's league....Inbee is also a superior putter vs. Ko. Lewis was/is delusional if she can't admit that Inbee is her biggest threat....maybe Lewis and Patrick Reed are siblings....lol. Lewis is a great player and yes...very hard to root for. Everytime Lewis makes a poor shot or putt she looks to the ground blaming the turf in disgust. Let's not forget that after the Yanks lost in the Int'l Crown, Stacy thought the format should be changed....LMAO. She demonstrates poor sportsmanship....I can only imagine what a sore loser she must have been when she was a teen or in college. I feel sorry for you, Mericans, that this is your #1 pro to root for.

In ten minutes, I'll put the LPGA on and continue watching the KLPGA on the PC. Question: which one gets the sound muted? Sharon is out of the gate with a pars at #1 & #2...she's grouped with another one of my faves, Jung Min Lee, who also made two pars. Hye Youn Kim is T-58 after four holes. She has posted a lot of lousy rounds this year...only two top-tens. The competition has passed her by, but permanently? I hope not, as she is a total doll with the fascinating step swing. This pic is from Round 1:

Round 4: Hyo Joo Kim Wins Third KLPGA Major of 2014The final round turned into a shootout between the top three Koreans in the field: Hyo Joo Kim, Inbee Park and Kyu Jung Baek. (below: the final group on Sunday: Hyo Joo Kim, Kyu Jung Baek and Yoon Kyung Heo) Yoon Kyung Heo started the day with the lead, but went out in 39 and never recovered from that. By the turn, the three top ranked players were tied for the lead, and they continued to be close for much of the back nine. The logjam was finally broken when Hyo Joo Kim drained a 15 footer on the 14th hole to move to 11 under and a one shot lead over Inbee and Baek. Kim and Baek both had birdie chances on the next hole. Baek was a bit farther but lipped out her birdie try. Kim made hers and moved to 12 under. She was now 2 up with three to play. Inbee struggled on 15 and 16. She hit a terrible approach on 16 but got it up and down. Finally on 17 she hit a great iron and nailed the birdie to move to 11 under. But she was only able to two putt for par on 18 and finished at 11 under. That left Baek. She had a great chance on 17 when she striped her approach to about five feet. Kim missed her birdie on that hole, but alas, so did Baek. Baek missed a similar length putt on 18. It seems as though Baek just crumbled a bit in the face of what Kim had done and couldn't make the two straightforward birdies she needed when they counted the most. Hyo Joo proceeded to make a simple two putt on 18 and the third Major of the year was hers: a one shot win over Inbee Park, whose consolation will be the #1 ranking on Monday, and two shots over Baek. What a year for Hyo Joo Kim! She is the first KLPGA golfer to win three Majors in a season since Hee Kyung Seo in 2009 (Jiyai Shin also did it in 2008 when there were only three Majors). Her record shattering 2014 money total will get more amazing still! It was her fifth KLPGA win of the year. Congrats to Hyo Joo Kim on another phenomenal performance!! Scores: 1. Hyo Joo Kim 69 -12 2. Inbee Park 69 -11
3. Kyu Jung Baek (R) 71 -10 4. Yoon Kyung Heo 74 -9 5. Ji Ram Kwon 68 -8 - Shin Ae Ahn 70 -8 - Jung Min Lee 71 -8 Notables: 8. Jin Young Ko (R) 66 -7 9. Sei Young Kim 70 -6 10. Min Sun Kim 5 (R) 68 -5 13. Ha Neul Kim 73 -3 17. Kyeong Bae 70 -2 21. Ji Hee Kim 74 -1 25. Ji Hyun Oh (R) 70 Even - In Gee Chun 73 Even 32. Chae Young Yoon 74 +2 35. Je Yoon Yang 73 +3 40. Char Young Kim 73 +5 - Ran Hong 74 +5 53. Hye Youn Kim 73 +7 - Soo Jin Yang 78 +7

Congrats to HJK!!
Where was this event played? Great seeing all the large posters in the gallery....those would be prohibited items on the LPGA.
Nice finish by Sharon...hope to see more of her.
Closing ceremonies....or was it the prom?....too funny to see the KB execs wearing corsages and the yellow hats with suits looked a bit cheesy. Inbee won 3,000,000 won.....what for?.....shot of the week for her hole in one?

Great win for Hyo Joo. How high can she go. Looking forward to seeing her and Kyu Kung Baek, on the LPGA tour. I only got to watch the last five holes. So I did not see Yoon Kyung early struggles. She didn't give up, and played better, on the back nine. Shin A also had a good tournament and so did Jin Young Ko. Is Ko still leading the "Rookie of the Year race.

This is south east of Seoul. You can paste the map coordinates, N 37.34801 W 232.58476, into the Acme Mapper site (mapper.acme.com) to get to the exact location. If you want to get a better map look then check the great map site, map.daum.net, and find the course manually. I haven't figured out if there is a way to use map coordinates on that site.

Great win for Hyo Joo. How high can she go. Can HJK be in the top 5 Rolex ranking by the end of next year's 2015 season? I predict she'll be somewhere in between 6-10. IMO...based on the current Rolex rankings....the only one outside the top 10 that can get into the ten is Anna N. Kerr is in mommie mode with changed priorities, though 2015 is a Solheim year. Munoz's putter prevents her from being a consistent top 10 pro.

Thx for the info...so only about 70 km from the Hana last week. So if the primary residences in the US for female pros are Orlando, Jupiter, Phoenix & DFW....where do the majority of KLPGA pros reside?

After the third round of the KEB-HanaBank Championship, Kyu Jung Baek said she struggled with the question of whether she should join the LPGA if she were to win the next day (which she did!). I've only seen her play twice (Swinging Skirts and KEB-HanaBank) but I'm thinking she should stay on the KLPGA for another year and then joint the LPGA for 2016. From what I can tell the LPGA is quite a grind, and taking a year to prepare for that grind seems like a really good idea. Plus, KJB's back problem might be improved by then. It would be a shame to have her burn out over here with all the travel, interviews, pro-ams etc.
