PRE FIRST ROUND
The event starred a couple hours ago and I am posting our selections for those who like to keep track of their selections.
First: Welcome back baggerbob, we missed you.
A 180 degree twist on our selections for obvious reasons: The event is in Korea, the LPGA ladies from Korea (including those playing under another flag) are hot. Inbee or Lydia can take over the Rolex ranking. Some KLPGA ladies are playing great golf. So of our 33 selections, 22 are Korean (again, some representing other countries) and most of them with multiple selections. Centurion has a 100% Korean cast, Elf includes all Koreans but includes ladies representing other countries, A few contestants don't have any Americans in their list. Anyway, it should be an interesting and fun contest. Good Luck/
List of players by number of selections. (17 contestants)
So Yeon Ryu 17 Na Yeon Choi 17 Lydia Ko 16 Inbee Park 15 Chella Choi 15 Hyo Joo Kim 15 Jiyai Shin 14 Shanshan Feng 12 Suzann Pettersen 11 Mirim Lee 10 Pornanong Phatlum 9 Ha-Neul Kim 7 Mi Jung Hur 6 Ha-Na Jang 6 Amy Yang 5 Michelle Wie 4 Ilhee Lee 4 Minjee Lee 3 Mi Hyang Lee 2 Hee Young Park 2 Brittany Lang 2 Hee-Kyung Baek 1 Anna Nordqvist 1 Lexi Thompson 1 Azahara Munoz 1 IK Kim 1 Brittany Lincicomb 1 Gerina Piller 1 Jessica Korda 1 Se Ri Pak 1 Eun-Hee Ji 1 Meena Lee 1 Yani Tseng 1

Note: Elf selected BAE, Hee-Kyung (T30) as his 9th selection but then erroneously edited her last name to BAEK (another player Baek, Kyu Jung (T30)) but posted Hee-Kyung Baek; an illegal entry as there is no such player. The entry is not valid so his alternative player moves into 12th place: IK Kim (currently T41). I was going to make the clarification tomorrow with the first round results but as IK KIM made a birdie decided to make the clarification immediately.

I was going to make the clarification tomorrow with the first round results but as IK KIM made a birdie decided to make the clarification immediately. Elf, you had the the two first names spelled correctly and were just one letter off on the second name. If you had kept that pick and explained what happened, I am sure that would have been ok. You have always been an asset to these boards and to this game. Your integrity would not have been questioned. Thanks for the explanation and honesty. There are so many names that are so similar, this should be a great example to everyone to double check their spelling before posting. Thanks tonj5. But when you post a misleading selection that can be interpreted as two or more players, the entry is automatically invalidated. In this case it could be BAE, Hee-Kyung or BAEK, Kyu Jung. Some errors can be accepted as typos, for instance this week two posters selected Mur, Mi Jung and choi na yong respectively and were accepted as Hur, Mi Jung and Choi, Na Yeon as there are no other players with similar names. Yes you are right, we should double check spelling, In this case I lost a selection and 9.5 points, but I am sure IK Kim will eventually will get them back LOL. FIRST ROUND RESULTS. 14 players T12 or better including 8 of our selections. SECOND ROUND
My apology to Schoolteacher Cindy and The Constructivist: Amy Yang got 5 selections including from these two contestants. By an error in my part the points were omitted in these two cases. Error fixed but Amy Yang shot a +7 and is out of contention.
PLAYERS SELECTED. Not a good round for most of our selections. T12 or better by position with number of selections after the name.
1 ICHER, Karine T2 LINCICOME, Brittany 1 T2 RECARI, Beatriz T4 MUNOZ, Azahara 1 T4 HUR, Mi Jung 6 T4 LEE, Jung-Min T4 GAL, Sandra T4 PETTERSEN, Suzann 11 T4 LEE, Ilhee 4 T10 YOON, Seul A. T10 KO, Lydia 16 T10 HEO, Yoon Kyung T10 KANG, Haeji
RESULTS. baggergob, the only contestant that selected LINCICOME, Brittany, takes over the lead by a small margin.

THIRD ROUND
Our performance as a Group continues to very poor. In this round Inbee with 15 selections and Pornanong with 9 move into the top 12. But we lost Lydia (16), Mi Jung Hur (6) and Azahara Munoz (1). The contestants (17) cast twelve selections each for a total of 204. Currently we have 40 selections on the money, less than 2%. Very discouraging. Here is the list of the Top 12, all T3 except the 2 leaders.
PLAYERS with number of selections afterwards.
T1 BAEK, Kyu Jung T1 BAE, Hee-Kyung T3 PARK, Inbee 15 T3 CHUN, In Gee T3 PHATLUM, Pornanong 9 T3 HEO, Yoon Kyung T3 GAL, Sandra T3 PETTERSEN, Suzann 11 T3 LEE, Ilhee 4 T3 LINCICOME, Brittany 1 T3 RECARI, Beatriz T3 ICHER, Karine
STANDINGS Points per contestant did go up as our 5 selections are T3. Verdant Garden takes the lead with 4 selections. We now have 3 contestants at the bottom with ONE valid selection (Inbee).
1 Verdant Garden 48.50 (4) 2 ghinhee 34.50 (3) 3 Schoolteacher Cindy 34.00 (3) 4 benchjockey 33.50 (3) 5 GDSmyth 32.50 (3) 6 tonyj5 31.00 (3) 7 Blue 30.50 (3) 8 The Constructivist 30.00 (2) 9 baggergob 26.00 (2) 10 Saint-Just X 24.00 (2) 11 cannuck 23.50 (2) 11 IceCat 23.50 (2) 13 shung 21.50 (2) 14 Golfing Grammy 19.50 (2) 15 Elf 12.50 (1) 15 Centurion 12.50 (1) 17 Friar Mike 11.00 (1)
Elfs mistake of editing BAE, Hee-Kyung into Baek, Hee-Kyung and mixing up the names of two players (the other BAEK, Kyu Jung), both T1 cost him as of today 12 points that would certainly get him out of the hole he is in.

FOURTH ROUND An exciting finish with Baek making 5 birdies in a row (#11 to #15) to get in the sudden-death playoff and win. Congratulations to her and to the KLPGA for having so many bright young players. As for our contest, it was a good round as Michelle T5, Hyo Joo Kim (7), Gerina T8, and So Yeon Ryu T12 moved into the Top 12. Suzann made a bogey at the 18th and dropped to -5 and allowed Ryu and a few others at the club house to T12. We lost Pornanong who played at even par.
SELECTIONS IN TOP TWELVE. Number of selections after the name. T2 Brittany Lincicome 1 4 Inbee Park 15 T5 Michelle Wie 4 7 Hyo Joo Kim 15 T8 Ilhee Lee 4 T8 Gerina Piller 1 T12 So Yeon Ryu 17 T12 Suzann Pettersen 11
STANDINGS. baggerbob, leader after the second round who dropped to 9th in the 3rd round had a huge come back to win the contest. He was the only contestant who selected Lincicome and Piller and one of four that selected Michelle. Schoolteacher Cindy was second and 3rd round leader Verdant Garden 3rd. IceCat who starred miserably with only one correct selection kept moving up and ended 4th. Congratulations to them and thank you for participating.
1 baggergob 49.50 (6) 2 Schoolteacher Cindy 44.00 (5) 3 Verdant Garden 35.00 (5) 4 IceCat 33.00 (4) 5 shung 31.75 (4) 6 tonyj5 30.25 (4) 6 benchjockey 30.25 (4) 8 ghinhee 27.75 (4) 8 Golfing Grammy 27.75 (4) 10 The Constructivist 26.75 (4) 10 Blue 26.75 (4) 12 GDSmyth 26.25 (4) 13 cannuck 23.75 (4) 14 Saint-Just X 23.00 (3) 15 Elf 22.00 (3) 16 Friar Mike 21.50 (3) 16 Centurion 21.50 (3)
