Congrats to Hannah O'Sullivan....a great win.
I hope everyone watched some of it this week......some great golf. It's crazy...we saw some 216 yd shots with a 4H from 16 yr old girls and maybe 120 lbs...WTF...that's nutty good.
Hannah is a slow player...I think Aimpoint is really slowing down play too....her group was often on the clock...we saw this at the Cambia too. Hannah has a baby face...but she looked scary mean inside the ropes.
I thought Hannah is 1/2 Chinese...her mother use to work for Cathay Pacific...but I'm assuming she's Korean as she's from Korea. It's odd to see a mom loop vs. a dad...dad was in a sling or maybe he works too much and mom travels with Hannah to events and loops.
Seemed like there were more people following this group vs. the final group at Cambia today. Crazy how these events were about 10-15 miles apart.
The Cox trophy is a great looking piece of hardware.
FOX did a great job with coverage....I like Gulbis and Holly.

Yup, I looked it up. Her mom is from Seoul, South Korea. Congrats to Hannah, with a name like O'Sullivan I wouldn't have pegged her as a Seoul Sister!

I was also surprised that they were hitting their balls so far. I don't think the Portland area has dry air, like here in Arizona. I could not believe that Hannah hit a five iron on a par three,189 yards pin high. There were no wind.

I didn't watch the coverage; I haven't really paid much attention to amateur golf since Minjee Lee turned pro. Maybe I should - we had Eun Jeong Seong win the Girls championship earlier, and now a Korean American gal wins the Amateur. Sisters Fighting! Eun Jeong Seong Hannah O'Sullivan

Golfing World interviewed Hannah O'Sullivan during a practice day at the 2015 USWO: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fojoLlaGJNsAfter doing some research, I've concluded that I MUST attend the 2016 USWA, which will be at Rolling Green GC in Springfield, PA. The only other USWA I attended was in 2003 at Philadelphia CC. The USGA has been to RGGC only one other time, the 1976 USWO. JoAnne Carner beat Sandra Palmer in a Monday playoff, 76 to 78. The course was set up at 6066 yards par-71, but the best score in regulation was 292 (+8)...the cut was +14...the best player in the world that year, Judy Rankin, shot 307 (+23). More gory details are here: www.si.com/vault/1976/07/19/615899/a-mountain-of-troubleThe article mentions the par-3 14th with a bridge from the tee to the green...#8 at Lancaster CC has similar bridge...sure enough, both courses were designed by the same man, William Flynn. Carner returned to RGGC in 2013 and we learn who first called her "Big Mama": blog.rggc.org/2013/06/08/joanne-carner-visits-rg/************* The U.S. Girls Junior will be at Ridgewood CC next year, but I probably won't go...I can see the BEST players from this bunch at the USWA.
