Kotone Hori and Yui Kawamoto are skipping this one.
Must be a lot of players skipping because Princess Mary Superal is in the field.
By the way I saw a Korean golfer on the driving range that looked like Jenny Shin with a Malbon golf bag.
However, she only could hit bladed shots short and right,
She was there with three others which was just there to have fun because none of them had a good golf swing.

You must be looking at the scrub tour event that's running Sept. 19-21. At Miyagi/Dunlop, Hori Two is grouped with Sharon and Yui is with Erika Kikuchi and Haruka Kawasaki.

Thanks, my bad, in a hurry just looked for their names. The Leaderboard popped up and the Translate notice covered the name. Saw Natsuka so I thought that she was playing the big Tour. |

This is the second straight week highlighting the Sumitomo/Dunlop/Srixon/XXIO/Cleveland/Miyazki/Aasics empire, which is why there are a couple of articles on club changes by Sakura Koiwai and Serena Aoki.
Sakura-chan switched to Srixon ZXi7 irons this week, which has a softer-feeling face ... has the same detailing of her old irons (I posted a pic in 2024 USWO thread).
Aoki, who could be an hororary club ho' on GolfWrx, carries three new Srixon irons: #8 (ZXi5) and #9 & PW (Zxi7) ... the 8 is her longest iron.
She also swapped her six-year-old 3W with a Srixon Zxi ... says she hits it almost as far as her driver.

It appears that one threesome played only 17 holes ... otherwise, Round One was completed by everyone, although one group finished under absurd conditions:

One of her bogeys was par five eighteen.
Kotone Hori has work to do at plus three, tied for eighty one.

I been watching her progress ever since she turned professional.
Because she is so little and hoping that she will play as good as she did as an Amateur.
