Yewon is having everything go her way right now, even holing out on 10! So far it looks like this one is on it's way to being a snoozer, but there's still a lot of golf to be played.
Farther down the leaderboard, some interesting developments. Hyo Song Lee made birdie on the final hole to end her day at 1 over, which means she'll make the cut. Meanwhile, the amateur star Maxili ended up at 3 over, which might yet make the cut but right now won't.
The leaderboard has some interesting names: Hyun Kyung and Hee Jeong Lim at 6 under, Hyun Jo Yoo at 5 under, and Youmin and Ji Young Park at 4 under. Ina shot an OK 70. She kept putting herself into good positions for birdie but wasn't making them. Her last three rounds have been less than her best, but sooner or later she's bound to have another great one, and she still has time to get back into this, so I'm keeping the faith. I wish Min Byeol were having a better week, but since she had top three finishes in the first two Majors, perhaps she'll rally and do it again.
Hwaiting!

It's not a great day for Ina when she only birdies one par 5. She also drove the green on the par 4 10th, but three putted there.
This video shows some of her struggles: a gutsy bogey on 9 after a bad approach, and hitting it into a terrible lie in the bunker on the par 5 12th, taking two shots to get out, but still saving par. It wasn't pretty, but she hung in there. Ina hwaiting!

Park Hyun-kyung said after her good round today that she has been really scared of Jade Palace GC for years. She may not be scared of it after her 6-under.
Come Sunday, she might be scared of it again. Who knows?

There is a LOT of golf left.
Yewon certainly could slip up. Someone else could go low over the next 36 holes. The pin positions won't get easier.
Who is going to wake up tomorrow morning with the motivation to get after it?
This is far from over, but I can't help but laugh.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't know everything. Over the last few years on the KLPGA Tour, who has won like this? Who else has had 3 or 4 or five shot leads on Sunday morning? This isn't the first time Yewon has had a five shot lead.
The battle for second should be interesting if Yewon holds on.

The paths of Battleship Ina and Erika Hara will cross again at LPGA Q-Series three months from now ... and I hope Minji joins them there.
*******
Golf's a funny game ... Sora Kamiya (age 21, two wins on Japan's big tour) bombed out, while Shina Kanazawa (below, age 29, one win on Japan's scrub tour) will play the weekend.

The way they can "thank" the KLPGA for preventing them from playing international events is a mass exodus from tour at the end of the year. At various times I've heard Bang, Youmin, Ina, Min Ji and one or two others contemplating Q-Series. Let them come! We need them!

The thing about Yewon is she tends to play well when leading. But also the thing about her is that she's been massively inconsistent of late. She's had great rounds and followed them with stinkers (last week, for instance). It feels like that won't happen this week, but it certainly could, and it would behoove the other stars to prepare to take advantage if it does.

I finally wore you down ... and you forgot Su Ji.

I'm mildly surprised that Maxi Malixi (a) trunk slammed, but she was getting too big for her britches. As of now, she is still committed to Duke U. starting in 2025 ... yeah, and Saso became a Georgia Bulldog ... NOT!!!

That was at the Lotte Open. Ina had that spectacular last round comeback, got into a playoff with Ga Young Lee (also Ye Rim Choi was in it), but Ga Young made birdie on the playoff hole to win.

To be honest I liked the KLPGA a little more than the LPGA because how they treat the Korean golfers. Also a lot of my favorite Korean golfers that used to contend has left the LPGA for different reasons.

Unlucky start for Min Byeol Kim lipid out birdie putt on one and short par putt on two. They also showed highlights of Sei Young Kim hold outs in 2013 and So Yeon Ryu missing short putts. Even the par putt So Yeon missed on eighteen which would given her the win in regulation
