Starts Friday for a field of 108 ... top-50 plus ties make the cut ... pretty much the same field as last week ... this is the second of three straight 54-hole events.
The Fuji TV stream didn't work last week, but that's what we have for the weekend (Japan time) :
Saturday, August 10th, 15:00-15:55 (LIVE) Sunday, August 11th, 16:00-17:25 (recorded)
If it doesn't work, try a rogue YT video with this search:

After this one, Erika Hara has invites to the Scottish Open and the Hanwha Classic ... although she might skip Hanwha is she can wedge her way into the AIGWO qualifier (she is past the entry deadline).

I hadn't noticed that Mone Inami is playing this one. In the article above, it says she has a new coach and described her current game as "a mess" ... currently undecided on if or when she'll return to the LPGA.

They've had a rain delay since 1:22 PM local time ... this "live" rogue video is showing highlights from earlier in day, as well as from last year's tournament:
They just showed the "cool" table in the clubhouse with Rio Takeda, Haruka Kawasaki and Sakura Koiwai. Now they switched to highlights from 2021. Nothing posted on the website on if and when they'll restart.
************
Early starter and leader Yooritsko (65, -7) torched the joint with ten birdies.

Round Two will restart at 7:15 AM on Saturday. Fouled up Mone Inami was a DNS.

Yui Kawamoto had a great front nine, the first round with seven birdies and five straights to finish the nine. A little different story her back nine with two bogeys and one birdie.
A great start to her second round with birdies on three of her first four holes.
Kotone Hori had an ok first round with three birdies no bogeys.

A trifecta for SYFan: Yui in first, Hori Two in second and Big Mama Ahn trunk-slammed by one shot. The cut was Even and 57 players made it.
This is a good sample rogue video at the 1st hole -
4:03 - Yui 15:18 - Hori Two

Reika Usui (MC)
Miyuki Takeuchi (MC)
Mi Jeong Jeon (-4)
Well-preserved Erina Hara (MC) is a fixture at this event for obvious reasons.
Former hot prospect Rei Matsuda (MC) is in shambles ... 7-for-7 in trunk slams on the big tour and 9-for-9 if you include the scrub tour.
Erika Hara put some new stuff in the bag this week ... I assume that includes the Titleist GT2 woods. That hybrid looks really old.

Great rounds minus six by my two favorites Yui Kawamoto first place Kotone Hori solo second. Hopefully they can get it done and finish with a win and second place.

Congratulation to Yui Kawamoto for her first win this year. Didn't have a very good round at plus one no birdies but nobody closes to her had a great round either. It's makes up for all the great Final rounds she had and didn't win.
Kotone Hori had five birdies but also four bogeys to end one back tied for second place. A great Tournament for her as well.

I thought Yumeno Masada had this one until she rinsed her ball at #18 and shanked her chip.

Yui Kawamoto was the only one that didn't make a mistake down the stretch. She also just missed birdie on sixteen, had a lip out for birdie on seventeen.
Kotone Hori three putt hurt her, however I thought that she had made the birdie on eighteen Until it didn't go in.

Winner's WITB -
I assume this "Yui ball" has passed the USGA tests ... or would it not be necessary? From article, per Google mush:
The ball is a prototype exclusively for Kawamoto, designed to "provide the most spin for a 40-yard approach shot." It is a custom-made product with a particular attention to detail, as "when the pin was in front and the approach was 30 or 40 yards, this ball was the one that stopped the most when I floated it up."
According to the company's equipment manager, the performance is somewhere between the "CHROME TOUR ball" and the "CHROME TOUR X ball." He expressed his gratitude for the many birdies he was able to get on the final day of the "Hokkaido Meiji Cup" the previous week, where he placed second, saying "it was thanks to this ball."
Regarding that old 3-UT she carries:
She keeps the 2015 model XR in hers, saying that she "doesn't use it often, so it doesn't deteriorate much." She often holds it when she is hitting about 200 yards when hitting a par 5 second shot.
