If Dewi is in CW mode she will be tough to catch but I think she will flatline a bit over the weekend.
AP and Gina played par golf today but both made the weekend, even better for the patrons of Portland they may even be playing together tomorrow. If only I didn't live 3K miles away!

I'm in Portland and because there are some fun players on the leaderboard, I'm going to check out the tournament tomorrow. I hear it's going to be 95 degrees, so I'll be sure to bring a lot of water.
Thinking about following A Lim or So Mi. I'm sure I'll see a few others as well. Should be fun!

No career best - but a 65 is not too shabby for AP, Gina must have been giving her good reads on putts all morning because she made 0 😔. Time to set the alarm clock early again.
The Goose is loose, she is setting the pace today and vamos Paraguay to Sofia Garcia as well.
Jen Chang birdied her final 3 holes to finished tied with AP at -12. They both need the CME points so let's hope for a strong finish tomorrow.
Na Rin is on the hunt 6 birdies v 1 bogey on her front 9. Mack and Weber have fallen back to earth a bit as expected, let's hope the later tee times get stuck in neutral so one of our favorites has a chance.

I guess cutting back the on-air talent this year from 5 people to 4 on non-majors isn't enough for GC. The play-by-play guy and the color commentator seem to be calling the shots from GC HQ in Connecticut. Most of the good rounds yesterday changed today.
A Lim Kim 65,72, Jenny Shin 65,73, Ji Won Jeon 66,71.
Na Rin An had a really good round of minus six but made double bogey on sixteen.
Still minus four is a good score.
Only bright spot was another clean score card of minus five by So Mi Lee.
It's just been one of those years, but hopefully two or three of them can make a run for the Lead.

My buddy at Jersey City, Minji Kang, really needs to help herself tomorrow .... she came into this one at #114 on CME is projected to lose two spots based on her first three rounds. She has no chance of getting into the Scottish Open and I seriously doubt she'll risk her limited cash on qualifying for the AIGWO.
I can't recall seeing this before at any other golf course ... permanent concrete steps with railing leading down to the side of the 1st tee box.

While The Goose is not in the Olympics, a few Russian and Belarusian athletes are competing as AIN - a French acronym for Individual Neutral Athletes.

Malia Nam was PAC12 Freshman of the Year Lily had good round too, Malia was keeping pace with Yealimi today but that double killed her mojo. Would have been a fun group to watch bombing it off the tee. |
