Not so Big Mama Ahn is playing in Japan for the first time since 2019. The JLPGA gave her a maternity leave exemption in 2021, but she didn't know it expired after 36 months, so she can only play the tour via sponsor exemptions for now and might have to go back to Q-school at year-end. For now, she is allowed up to eight sponsor invites per year ... wants to resume playing in Japan, says the training environment is superior over ROK ... needs two more JLPGA wins to hit thirty and earn lifetime exemption.
w/ Sakura Koiwai

"Shibuko" (nickname spoken by Sakura Koiwai) working under the eye of her coach.
Her arms still bend the wrong way.

Ahn wasn't missed on the KLPGA by me, she can go back to the JLPGA and stay there. She said some negative things about the KLPGA when she left the first time, What a pleasant surprise to see her back on the JLPGA, I thought it was pretty much a done deal she wasn't coming back as it was just to hard to travel with twins, as for not knowing her exemption had expired i find that hard to believe! Can you explain what she said that was so negative about the KLPGA Tour, I only recall her saying that sponsors had told her to lose weight and glam up if she wanted to get the big dollars but refused hence her coming to Japan.

She blamed the KLPGA for not supporting her because of her weight and they preferred looks over talent. But I didn't see any reason for her to go to the Press and say that they didn't support her because they did. Instead of saying that her Sponsors who wanted her to lose weight. She hasn't done that much since she has been back so what's the problem does she have with the KLPGA now.

Yui Kawamoto came within one again off the lead to get a win. She made birdie on seventeen to tie, but Rio Takeda made birdie on eighteen to win. They both scored minus six. One stat stood out Takeda made birdie on all four-par fives and Yui made birdie on only one. Sooner or later if she keeps contending a win will come.
Kotone Hori didn't have a good day, plus three to finish plus two and 48T.
