It reminded me so much, as I said before, of the US Women's Open last year. I had several players I really like in the hunt, there were great shots and foul ups, and it's so fun to see them challenged rather than playing on a bunny course. But like with Corpuz at Pebble, it never felt like Ro was going to put a foot wrong, even though neither of them had ever won before. Once she had the lead, the others had to figure out how to make multiple birdies, and no one was able to figure out how to do that without making a mistake. So it wasn't very dramatic. There was never that sense of 'must make' putt for anyone.
The other bummer was that the crowds seemed really small. Is this place out in the sticks? I recall it being better attended last year.
