It appears that she will stiff me by skipping Lancaster ... and stiff HF by skipping Sahalee (which she is eligible for as the 2023 KLPGA money leader).

I am not sure that's a horrible idea. The KLPGA and JLPGA are both lucrative and comfortable and AS YOU SAID YOURSELF, she doesn't have the length off the tee right now to compete in the "new" LPGA.

Last weekend was an interesting preview for what Yewon would run into on the LPGA. What she showed was, though she was operating at a length deficit, she was still able to play Ina virtually even thanks to her amazing short game.
She isn't there yet, but she has the feel of someone who in a year or two could be a new Jin Young Ko or Lydia Ko, someone who doesn't hit the ball far but who can work miracles with her putter and short game. And if so, it would be a pity for her to disappear onto the Japanese tour, where we would rarely see her again and where, if I'm right, she would not be as challenged as on the big tour.

Right now, the way I feel about the LPGA Tour. The only upside is that if she plays great it will be easier for her to qualify for the Olympics. The downside is that she will probably have about ten people following her. Also she would hardly be seen back in Korea unless she is in top five on the weekend. Then by chance she drops a place or two she will be ignored by the golf channel. I am pretty sure that she would be shown more on the JLPGA in Korea. However the elitest JLPGA doesn't care if they are shown Glober.

"but if she does end up playing overseas"
She can change her mind. And that quote suggests she might not leave Korea anytime soon.

Just play in all 5 majors please idc what you do that's the best way to secure the Olympic spot. Jiyai vaulted in the RolexRankings because of them.
Yewon wins the battle Ina Yoon going to win the war so let's enjoy it this year while we can.

I found it really challenging to follow the Salonpas Cup a couple of weeks ago; I could find links from a few hours earlier, and if I was lucky they wouldn't tip off the result based on the thumbnail. And I was trying to follow them; imagine how hard it would be if you were less motivated?
So for me, it's a drag when a player I like ends up on the JLPGA. It pretty much marked the end of my ability to follow Ha Neul Kim, and I think Yewon has a chance to be a much better golfer than Sky.

I'll harp again on how chintzy the JLPGA is on promoting itself. There's no reason the world can't see extensive coverage of it.
It's not a cultural thing. You can't get more quintessentially Japanese than sumo wrestling and you can see wall-to-wall coverage of the Grand Sumo tournaments plus recaps.
