Great first round by Yui Kawamoto with eight birdies through the twelfth hole, one bogey on fifteen. Akie Iwai matched her with eight birdies through seventeen with a bogey on eighteen. Tied at the top so far.
Kotone Hori had two early bogeys but had three birdies no bogeys after that.

Yui Kawamoto didn't have another great round with only two birdies two bogeys. Still only three out of the lead. The round one co-leader Akie Iwai had the same score as Yui
Kotone Hori had five birdies but had a triple bogey and one other bogey.
The rogue video worked for a while, I left it and came back, and I couldn't find it.

Kotone Hori had five birdies again but three bogeys but she moved up in a tenth place tie.
Yui Kawamoto got to ten under made bogey on fourteen. Hit into the trees on sixteen, hit out and hit a good approach shot and made birdie bat to ten under. Rio Takeda also made birdie on sixteen to remain tied.

Great round by Yui Kawamoto minus four today to take a one stroke lead. Hit her second shot into the greenside bunker on par five eighteen. Then see her bunker shot because the SBS broadcast ran out of time. However Yui got up and down for birdie. Sure was great to see her play in the Final Group.

I wish I had stayed up for the broadcast, but I was too far gone after spending the day in Jersey City ... and how about Yoshida Two still leading Yoshida One? Well, Yuri didn't return to Japan until Tuesday night.

An ice bag in May?
Rio Takeda still lurking
Hori Two ... this guy should bag toting on the LPGA ... he can share one of the villas at the Seaview with five other loopers and as new boy he'd have to go out for the beer runs.
Sharon (+1)
Yuri (+1) is two strokes away from losing her family bragging rights

Rio Takeda came out hot five birdies through seven holes, Yui is even through seven. Started with a chip in on one from back of the green. Yui applauded her chip in and just missed her birdie putt on the right lip.
First time that I have seen Kotone Hori in a long time, I did not know that she used a long putter.

Rio Takeda jumped out to a four-stroke lead with five birdies through seven holes. Yui Kawamoto could not close the gap with two birdies and two bogeys through seventeen. She is tied with Miyuu Yamashita for second place who had three birdies to catch her. She is getting closer to winning, hopefully she can finish the job one day.
Because my favorite So Yeon has retired, and my second favorite Hee Jeong Lim is in a terrible slump.

The Shinster was a DNS for this one, don't know why ... and is not playing in next week's big ¥140 million event ... if she wants the Olympics, she should go to Lancaster NOW.
